I've been absoutely convinced watching the games that B-Roy is not getting enough respect from the Refs. How many times he gets hammered and no call, especially in the 2nd quarter. It has seemed to me when the Blazers do get going a bit, calls in the 2nd go against them, especially when B-Roy takes it to the rim and it's a no-call, and a run goes the other way, momentum shift, etc....
This was orginally going to be a complete rant, but before doing that I decided to check out the stats from 82games.com, well...shut my homer mouth.
I pulled the quarter by quarter FT attempts and graphed the all-star guards (all of those announced, including Allen and Nelson) and averaged their attempts by starter (blue) and reserve (black).
Looks like B-Roy (red) is getting his due, at least for the average for all games this season to date...now I'll have to figure out how to get the stats before and after the notorious email and see if its changed.
By the way, of the reserves only Billups in the first half and Harris in the 2nd half get to the line more than B-Roy, and he is sometimes better than a starter or 2. (That graph is really messy to look at, so didn't add that to the post).
