Bucks shopping R. Jefferson like crazy; V. Carter unlikely to be moved

Dave: I agree with everything you say except the part about Yi - to me, he's been a disappointment so far this year (before the injury). Let's not forget who we gave up to get him, please. The Bucks have a big edge on that trade so far. - Ray Sadighi.
Dave D'Alessandro: If the Bucks had such a big edge, they wouldn't have been shopping RJ like crazy over the month preceding the Redd injury. The fact is, Milwaukee was feeling pretty lousy about the deal all around - RJ was marked by every scout and GM in the league as a player who had lost something athletically, one who was looking very thick in the legs and hips and lacked his usual explosion, and much of that was related to him coming to camp out of shape. Moreover, he was showing that he was not (cliche alert) Skiles' type of player, and the Bucks wanted to dump him so they could get Joe Alexander into the mix, even though he wasn't quite ready yet. Of course, finding someone to take on that contract will be impossible, so now you wonder whether RJ will opt out after '09-10, which I wouldn't rule out if he's unhappy

From a "mailbag" of the respected beat writer Dave D'Alessandro of the New Jersey Nets, that had previously traded Jefferson to Milwaukee. Looks like a deal for Jefferson and Sessions as previously discussed a few times (would also work under the scenario outlined by Quick) could indeed be available to KP, only that Jefferson is not at the top of his game at the moment (or anymore).

The mailbag also has some info on Vince Carter's availability, and the writer assumes he won't be moved before the summer (but that New Jersey would be interested to do so).

Doesn't Battier play like a bust himself this year after returning from his injury?

6.7 points, 4.8 rebounds in 32 minutes is not exactly stellar. Travis does almost double the amount of points and same rebounds in less, and Nic could also do that.

Maybe Battier is mentioned for his defense

which Travis doesn’t have but Nic could

Nope.

If this were three years from now and we had a real hole in SF and could get this years RJ and we thought it would help us win our next title then… maybe.

Always thought he was super overrated

even in his prime. I hope KP isn’t even considering RJ.
