ATTENTION - Tonight's Game in HD on Comcast

Tonight’s Game (vs Dallas) is now going to be broadcast in HD by Comcast on Channel 737 (the new HD sports channel for Comcast – no longer Channel 788).

It was not scheduled to be in HD at the beginning of the year so this is a last minute addition by Comcast. Apparently the LA Clipper road game HD broadcast went well so they added HD for this road game. All HOME games are broadcast in HD by Comcast and KGW, but the Clipper game was the first (and only scheduled this year) road game ever broadcast in HD by Comcast (KGW has yet to broadcast a road game in HD). This is great news because it should mean more HD road games next year on Comcast, and hopefully on KGW as well.

Gameday ritual dinner, Dallas version

Cowboy chili (I dunno, looks like a basic chili recipe to me, but that’s what it’s called) served with Texas cornbread. The cornbread recipe looks yummy — it’s got scallions, red pepper, corn, chilis, and cheese in it. Anybody want some?

Personally, I'd like to see Nic come through with another money shooting performance

Frequent Bayless explosions will invariably lead to him becoming more single-minded on offense…a bad thing if we want to develop his PG of the future passing/floor general skills.

by OneTrickPony on Feb 4, 2009 4:27 PM PST up reply actions

Yet in this game an attacking Bayless would be very valuable

Especially against the second unit. Barea is not the greatest defender (literally), and Terry also, so guard penetration is a good weapon to score and bring the frontcourt players in foul trouble. NJ did it really well with Harris and Carter.

Here's an example of e.e. cummings (seems like something you would write to Batum)

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
                                    i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

We are going to need to have two guys that are on fire

I don’t think we can stop Dallas defensively. Last time they killed us by offensive rebounding… ugh. So annoying.

Maybe Bayless and Oden will both have some of the great games and we take it… but I think we’ll lose.

It looks like the game starts @ 5:30 but the comcast coverage starts on a delay @ 6:30. I hate that cuz I always see a score channel surfing and NBATV isn’t in HD so that blows!

why on Earth would they do this? They own the official broadcast rights to Blazer games. What the heck are they delaying it for? What else could possibly be on CSNNW that is worthy enough to delay the game of the only pro team on your channel?

Roy's yelling

I kind of wish Brandon wouldn’t yell every time he drives and gets fouled. It’s the kind of thing that refs (and fans) might find annoying.

Blazers asleep.

They cant give oden the ball fast, so he is allways doubled and turns it over by being 3 seconds in the key.
Why have oden if they cant use him? Trade him.

And Oden, once again, is a rookie, so non-stop fast break basketball is like fast-forwarding a song while he's trying to learn the lyrics.

"There is one way that cutting off trade with a partner could help you," Wolfers explains. "And that's if you're an idiot. If you used to trade a lot with one partner, and they always got the better of you because you don't know what you're doing, then you're right, you would be better off not trading with them any more."

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
