Rudy didn't hit a three last night
So that should officially set the record for consecutive games with a made three by a rookie. Surprised that there has been no coverage of this accomplishment, either when he broke the old record; or now that he has set a new record. Does anyone know what the record is for consecutive games with a made three, by any NBA player (ie non-rookies included)?
Question: how does one post a short item as a FanShot, when there is no link, video, or anything else to attach?

Batum hit 3

Rudy should be able to easily beat another rookie record
most 3pointers in a season.. I haven’t checked in awhile, but he was definitely on pace to smash that record..

Rudy definitely has a shot.
The NBA Rookie record for threes in a season is 158 by Kerry Kittles, New Jersey, 1996-97. Rudy has 110 in 55 games so far, averaging exactly two triples per game. With 26 games left for the Blazers, if he keeps that pace up, he’ll have 162 by the end of the season, giving him the record. He’ll have to be consistent to do it, but it’s within his grasp.
Yes! Yes! In the face!

Finally, a news reference.

still. This is an Oregonian article, and you would think that there should be at least a minor phrase of congratulations involved. It was more than just a streak. It was record breaking. Is it out of fashion, to celebrate accomplishments any more?
His streak should be longer
I believe the only previous game that he did not have a 3 was in Boston. In that game he was robbed of a 3 by a bad traveling call on the shot where he jumped, then dropped the ball before his feet hit the ground and he sank a three after collecting his “dribble.”
"What we have here, is a failure to communicate."
Rudy’s last shot was a 3-point attempt.
Nate immediately yanked him in favor of Batum, as if to say, "This is about winning this game, not keeping a streak alive".
But I didn’t think the shot Rudy took was ill-advised.
