Anyone know a place to watch Blazer games in NYC?

I'm in NY and was hoping to catch tonight's game (and all of our games over the next couple weeks).  Anyone know of a place out here that might have it?

Thanks

Do you mean online or an actual place in NY?

I don’t know of any actual establishments in NY where you could go and watch blazer games. If you want free, online, live, and low-quality streaming Blazer games try searching on http://www.justin.tv/ in the basketball section right before tipoff. Hope that helps.

Most big sport bars

Get NBA League Pass and might be playing the Blazer games if they have enough TVs.. but I don’t know what the big sport bars in NYC are off hand.

good luck and tell us if you find one.. never know when we might end up in NYC looking to watch Blazer games..

I think ESPN

has some type of mega sports bar out there that shows most games…could be mistaken though, but it seems like I remember one there last time I was there.

ESPNZone, maybe?

My HDTV is a torrented game that I can watch lag-free :(

The one I've seen is in Times Square. And it is absurdly massive.

Surely they could spare one TV for a Blazer fan. Especially if the Knicks aren’t on at the same time.

Hit it. Yes he did. Ohhhh yeah.

Bounce Deuce (2nd Ave & 6th)

I just moved to NYC this past year, and it took me a while to find a place, but Bounce Deuce has never done me wrong. They have League Pass (it seems like most bars didn’t have it) and have always put on the Portland games on for me. And they’ve never kicked me out on Wednesday nights at 1am when I’m the only guy in the bar watching the end of a game.

It also helps that I’m in the East Village and so it’s a close walk. There might be other bars closer to you.

I haven’t been recently because of a big test I’ve been studying for, but soon I’ll start going again regularly for Blazer games.

I don't know

I do get league pass at home. But I would be into an occasional Blazers get-together in NYC.

Sticking up for Travis Outlaw since 2008.

me too

I’m in Newark, but I come into the city some evenings, especially the weekends. If the NYC crowd wants to get together for a game I’d definitely be up for it!

Another NYC resident here

A Blazer gathering would be great.

where are alll you people

in nyc,we all need to get together for the playoffs seriously.

I'm down

That’s a great idea, but how could we set that up? Would Dave/Ben get upset with too many NYC-dedicated fanposts?

But it would definitely be fun to meet up and watch the playoffs, or other big games, together.

list time!

Fatty helped me track down some spots to watch in NYC last year, but I never found anything satisfactory in Brooklyn.

Bounce Deuce sounds the most convenient to me. I’ll probably go catch a game there if someone emails me to meet. If NYC blazer fans want to drop their email addresses in this thread, I’ll create a mailing list so we can coordinate without spamming the board. So you don’t get added to spam lists, just post your address in this form in this thread:

I’m busy for the next couple of weeks, but would be down for a game after that. Like the Laker game on the 9th?

My fav nyc sports bars:

I would join you to watch the game but I recently moved down to DC…

Blondies (there’s an upper west location and an upper east one, I’ve only been to the one on the upper east)

92nd and 2nd ave (upper east)
79th near Amsterdam (upper west)

Bounce Deuce (east village)

2nd ave and 6th st

Croxley’s (east village, farther from the subway in Alphabet City but a great place with a great beer selection)

Ave B and 3rd st

Standings (east village. I’ve never watched the Blazers here but it’s a big pac-10 bar so I’d think they’d put it on for you)

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
