The reaction of the hornets fans at hornets247.com...
I have to say, they are very shocked that there were several 5+ yrs vets on the court and they couldn't produce. Its a game, they thought it was in the bag, oh how quickly it changed!

Being a Blazer fan is fun!

Man...
that is hilarious!
They “swarmed” on Byron Scott, leaving him a battered corpse. It isn’t the coaches fault they have zero depth. The whole league knows this about the Hornets… don’t their own fans?

That was great.
I’m sure Byron told Paul to pull his groin.

From the Niall dude's post game wrap at Hornets 247
Nate McMillian made several adjustments throughout the game, constantly searching for a solution. You could see the Blazers making a conscious (and usually fruitful) effort to get the ball inside after timeouts. That fullcourt trap they sprung early in the fourth gave us problems; I’m surprised they didn’t stick with it for longer. The Blazers also went to a zone D for a few short spells throughout the game. I can’t recall exactly how effective that was for them. Interesting too seeing Rudy Fernandez guarding CP for a while in the third, though I think that was due to Portland being a little short-handed, and Rudy didn’t have much success with it anyways.
hmmmmmmmm

the comment that stood out
“For all the size by the Blazers and ‘oh, we’re so tough’ image, they’re pretty weak on the boards, at least from this game.”
ahaha, they think we think we are tough.

Didn't we outboard them by like 20?
And this was a bad night of rebounding for the most part.
And yes, we really have a tough guy image, we’re just mean ol’ brutes!
I guess if they only watched the Blazers when we play the Hornets, and how Chandler always has his period in those games and throws a tantrum, and people start getting pushy, you’d maybe think we were tough. Maybe, I guess.

Mostly nevermind what I said
I didn’t realize till I went over there and read the comments that the rebounding comment was said early on in the game.
The “tough guy” image is still funny.
I really do like hearing what other fans think of us. Just like many of us, so many fans take what they see in the few games their team plays that team and thinks every game is like that.
I have also noticed that many of us here really don’t seem to know the East coast teams very well, which is funny to me since we always complain about East coast biase, when a lot of us are guilty of the same thang.
I thought the comments were pretty good, and considering how big of a loss that was for them, not bad at all.

Also, West Coast bias cuz most East Coast Teams su...uhhh..are not as good as West Coast Teams.
I mean, waht is PTB’s record against those teams?
We just don’t play them (East Coast) as much. NOH is actually a geographically challenged “West Coast” team…so is Memphis

I spend a good deal of time on 3rd Quarter Collapse
And they routinely say they wish they played on the West coast. I’m like “mmmmppppppfffffftttttt”

I always love reading trash talking from team's other fans.
Especially when they don’t use any facts and are completely wrong.

That was pretty funny ....
…. watching how relaxed and happy they were and then as if someone flipped a switch, they are all freaking out.
There are three things to take away from this:
1) More proof fans usually don’t have a clue about the NBA game – I refer to their bashing of the coach. As if this was Byron Scott’s fault.
2) Fans are usually fickle – they think you are great until a little adversity hits and then they are all over you.
3) Blazers Edge is the King Kong of the sports blogsphere – did you see how few people commented over there?
