That story was a breath of fresh air compared to some of the post-All Star Game columns I’ve read elsewhere in the national press — many of them barely mentioned Rudy, and if they did none of them touched on Kenny and Reggie’s comments or even thought to commend Rudy for doing such a heart-felt tribute.

My "favorite" Kenny Smith line...

“This just shows the amateurism of….of Spain.” (because Pau couldn’t get the pass right at first). Then Reggie asked if he meant the whole country, and Kenny confirmed that, yes, he meant the whole country. Then they all had a big chuckle over it. I really need to use a swear word or words to describe Kenny Smith, but I can’t here.

Since then, numerous blogs and even posts on YouTube have criticized some of the remarks as xenophobic.

Most definitely a fair criticism. I really wish Anne Peterson had thrown a couple of those quotes from Kenny and Reggie in her article. But we all know what they said.

I won't be satisfied until TNT says something.

They owe Rudy and the entire Blazer fanbase (and the whole country of Spain) a major apology.

Agreed!

I’m seriously considering not watching TNT unless the Blazers are on it only. Even if it’s Marv Albert, if the Blazers are broadcasting it Comcast SportsNet or KGW I’m watching that.
