Andre Miller
The most logical trade to get us into the playoffs isn't for a small forward. We already have Martell coming in and that should help that position out as much as any big time trade would considering team chemistry, the luxury tax and contracts...
So Basically what I'm saying is no Vince, no Richard, and no Caron Butler because Washington isn't that foolish.
The most important position for our teams style is Point Guard...Blake is solid, but behind them we have two young PG's who aren't ready for the playoffs. Sergio I'm sorry you're my favorite player but your talents are more useful somewhere else (Philly has more than a few players that can run),,,Bayless is promising, enough and has showed that he could be the Tony Parkerish point guard that gets us points, gives Brandon a break, and cuts teams throats without remorse,,, however he could learn a few things and who better to teach him than Andre Miller...
Does Everyone remember Miller stripping JJack of the ball in a big game years ago, which was the trigger to JJacks turnover prone game...That play if I recall not only cost us that game but it also affected the team for the rest of the season...
He is a veteran, has an expiring contract, could resign with us considering how much money we will be able to spend this offseason,,,took a young Philly team last year nearly to the second round, he was the better player in the allen Iverson Trade prove me wrong on that,,,,and if it doesn't work out we cut our losses,,,,
Andre Miller is obtainable, C Butler isnt, Amare isnt D Harris isn't, I could go on and on, teams won't hand us the title and we have too much too lose if this doesn't work out however we will give up something. I'll leave KP up to who we trade and how it works...but if we could I'd take Reggie Evans too, he fits us perfectly, instant toughness, a possible goon, plays hard, got his game going with McMillan, and doesn't need many minutes..
So KP, I trust you you will do the right thing and all i know is what i see and believe but you know way more than me about the players and chemistry and coach of our team,,,,,so what do we need?

We could swap RLEC for Andre's expiring contract
Capwise it would cost us nothing. He would be a rent-a vet for the rest of the season and if we do not resign him our cap is the same as if we let the RLEC expire.
I think we’d have to offer Philly some sweetner, I have no idea how much though.

thanks but no thanks...
he can’t shoot….and I don’t want to hand over the team to someone who will only be here for a year or two. GIVE ME VINCE CARTER.

I love the irony
it’s more subtle than sarcasm, yet again Blazersedge show its distinguished flair.

Actually this is a great idea, but...
swapping Miller’s expiring contract for another expiring contract (that pays 80% back) doesn’t make sense for Philly. Also, Miller is what holds that team together. They already have a ton of great young players, so I don’t see what Blazers could offer. I imagine they will match anything that Miller is offered this summer if indeed his contract is expiring.

Only one condition...
I only want Andre Miller if we can somehow bring Keith Van Horn out retirement. Van Horn would occupy that veteran SF position the Blazers are lacking. Also Van Horn and Miller would be reunited and rekindle the magic they had back at Utah when they made the final four run. Just think of the Spanish Connection and the Utard Connection freakin mad oops…

is this a joke? if it's not, it's the worst idea i have ever heard.
i’m talking worse than the guy who said john salmons would get us a championship…..please tell me you’re joking?

btw, miller strained his calf today and then his team lost
right about now in his career he’s going to start getting injured…if this is 4 years ago, i do it.

because of a strained calf?
knee jerk a little?
I like whatever metric makes a Blazer look better.

We'll see
I believe that he helps us the most,,,,our second unit would be even more dangerous and our bigs would finally have a PG that can get them the ball,,,he’s got experience that our young guys could learn from, and he’s got class, handled his last trade like a pro…And like i said, if it doesn’t work out we let him go,,,We’ll be a shoe-in for the playoffs
Plus anyone thats done their homework knows that Miller is available,,,Philly would be willing to do it for Sergio, or Channing, Or our European players plus RLEC,,,,
And Reggie Evans we get with the trade exception

why Reggie Evans?
i have not heard anyone else talk about him, you would be the first. Goodnight Midget.

I wouldn't mind just adding Evans
The Blazers could sure use another banger
But Miller is not a good enough shooter or defender (anymore) to warrant using RLEC

For someone that didn't watch the Philly Game
I would say watch it somehow and see Reggie Evans’ flying elbows, and see our players not retaliate (within the game of course) and see how they blew us out…goodnight tiny man,,,cool name by the way

Andre Miller Trade
He would fit great into our system, except for his relative weakness as an outside shooting and defender. If we could aquire him without giving up any young talent or picking up any bad contracts, I would go for it. There’s hardly any downside since Miller’s contract is up at the end of the year, yet, I don’t think it would put us over the top.
