Not sure if this has been posted before, but from these articles i suspect if either Germany or Poland wanted to, they could apply for Joel to play for them, how would u guys/gals feel about Joel playing for a country other than the US?

I don't mind Joel playing for another country
As long as we can immediately arrest him and put him in jail for treason. I don’t trust no country flip floppers! How can we trust Joel to not suddenly change jerseys mid-game and join the other team? He might even do it on the last shot of the game, blocking an unsuspecting Roy’s shot to make us lose game 7.
He used to play for the Bucks, so he has a link there with them, and he is a risk to betray us to them. I hope we don’t meet them in the finals any day soon.
I liked Joel better when he was a patriot, not willing to sell his citizenship to the highest bidder.
He is scum, human dirt. I won’t mind if he plays for another country, but he has to stay in that country for good. NO BACKSIES, JOEL.

The point that proved it was sarcasm
was the idea of the bucks reaching the finals

I'm fine with it
As long as he don’t play for no commie nation, I’m cool with it.

That sounds okay in theory
But name one country (besides the US of A, natch) that ISN’T a commie nation.
I looked at my globe and all I saw was hippy commie bastard countries who support terrorism through commie acts of communism.
These same countries also have topless beaches as the norm… this is a trick used for recruiting purposes, where they bring young men to the beaches and make them think communism is wonderful, and they let women show their breasts freely, which is all women like to do according to my video research of wild girls.
Yeah, Joel says he’s going just to play basketball, and while he’s a fearsome opponent on the court I’m more afraid of the fearsome ideas he’ll get from our opponents… the rest of the world.
USA are the Blazers, everyone else is the Lakers and Corey Maggette combined.

Scottish women may be tough
but not that tough.
Too cold. No topless beaches here.
We use haggis to recruit commies.

My German is not so good but I think it says that...
Joel’s mother is German. It also says Joel is definintely interested in playing for the German team.
I thought that they might not want another American center after the Kaman debacle.

He said his mother's family line is German
Which would be enough under German ancestry laws to apply for citizenship if some other conditions are met. You don’t get citizenship by place of birth, but by ancestry in some European states. Unlike in the US, a guy like Devean George or Carlos Boozer is not automatically German just because he was born there while his family was on duty. They might have a need, since the center starting before they got Kaman is about to retire and Dirk has said he likely won’t play for the next championships after having done that every summer since he came to the NBA. In the ballineurope article it said Donte Greene could have dual citizenship (that he was born in Munich would not be enough as said above). That would be highly interesting to them, since he is young and their wing players traditionally suck.
Well all in all, I don’t expect Joel to play for another country next year.

If the offer is there and he wants to...
he should snatch it up.
He’ll never make it for the US.

exactly
Joel can play on whatever country’s team he wants and congrats to him for doing so.. if he were to
Nowitski and Przy has to be better than Nowitski and Kaman.. even in 2012 (or even 2010 World!)
