Yeah he's more passionate now

Earlier he was mad at turnovers by guards and stuff.

The Kings have the best bench I’ve seen. There are easily 14 guys on this team good enough for every bench in the league. Now if we could only get some starters, I’d totally jizz in my pants.

Sergio is awesome vs. New York, but can’t get it going tonight, and Bayless turns it over like crazy on Sunday but owns it tonight. There lies the value of Blake: consistency.

ESPN is full of talking heads, I’ll take the 7 footer with the double-doubles over volume shooters any day :)

An admission: After the OKC game, I said some things. Stupid things. Things about Nate not knowing how to coach GO. It was only then I realized that I was in danger of becoming that which I most loathe - an uninformed, knee jerk fan who reacts to wins with wild delusions of championships and losses with trade and firing fodder. I will not be that fan. From this point on I will support the Blazers, the coaches and front office wholeheartedly, offering praise and criticism appropriate to the matter at hand. I will never again be "that guy".

Westbrook is roughly equivalent to Bayless

Its conceivable that he would ride pine on the Blazers (if Blake was healthy). There would be a place for him as a combo guard off the bench on plenty of teams.

Durant is -18

That is so impressive. He is amazing. He is like a super robot with laser beams and rocket shoes. They should just play him by himself and I’m sure he would score 400 pts a night.

He’s almost as good as Martell. But not quite…

I have my P.h.D in unreliable hyperbole.

I know... and I'm a super Oden homer

But… he has yet to play like this against a decent center, or against a top team. Frye could’ve posted up some of those guys tonight.

it’s not like Portland has a Tayshaun Prince guarding Durant at the three. I mean Portland is godlike at perimeter defense right?

up until this season Smith was averaging nearly 3 blocks a game

from the 3 that’s phenomonal. That’s not just something you ‘figure out’

by einman77 on Feb 11, 2009 9:34 PM PST up reply actions

I just meant

that athletically, Travis has the capability to be great. He’s just never been able to put it all together. I don’t think he ever will.

by Cablinasian on Feb 11, 2009 9:35 PM PST up reply actions

Two thoughts

Jeff Green is a small forward, not a power forward.
Russell Westbrook is not a point guard.

by Cablinasian on Feb 11, 2009 9:33 PM PST reply actions

Don't be too quick to judge Westbrook.

He’s young, skilled and still averaging 5 assists per game. He will be solid if not a great point guard one day.

I like whatever metric makes a Blazer look better.

by einman77 on Feb 11, 2009 9:36 PM PST up reply actions

That may be

his turnover ratio sucks. He’s still too raw to box up neatly, so I would save judgement at this point.

Much better all around

Actually had a hand in the Thunder’s faces most of the night. Gregzilla was dominating. 22 points 23 rebounds and 4 blocks. Probably Bayless best offensive game of the year. And Travis and Rudy played very well off the bench in the second half. Nice job!
