Clutch shooting. How clutch are your favorite blazers when it comes to game winning shots?
So I was reading the Celtics blog about how Kobe isnt as clutch of a shooter as people give him credit for and the link they provided to 82games.com showed some pretty interesting stats for our blazers, especially travis outlaw who hits a crazy high percentage of his game winning shots.
The whole article is pretty interesting so give it a look see. They also have links to overall clutch 4th quarter/overtime play.

i saw an article in cnn/si that i think has those stats
yeah, travis is incredibly clutch, brandon not far behind… and i think this is a quality sometimes underrated, or not understood, by some on the outside.
for instance, there are players who “run from the ball” when the game is on the line. they just woud rather not be in that position — where you seem, with one shot, to either win or lose the game.

Yeah I figured alot of readers on this site probably have seen this but Im sure some havnt.
It seems like T law has an ability that not a lot of players have. Its like he plays with blinders, doesent think too much, and just focuses on scoring in big time situations. Mike and Mike always talk about how early in the game he will hit 1 of 2 free throws but in the 4th quarter he always hits them both.
Although he still hasnt played dfense and rebounded like we would hope, his offense seems unwavering in the second half and end of games. This year I have stopped cringing when the ball is passed to him, I trust that he is going to take a quality shot. Not a shot that is quality in the traditional sense, but a quality “catfish” shot.
