Trade Suggestion
I just have a little trade suggestion that I want to throw out there in light of all what has happened with Greg Oden.
Why not trade for Carlos Boozer? We can bring in a 3rd team (possibly the Bulls and Tyrus Thomas?) and get this deal done. It's not like we need Boozer forever, just this season and he'll be a free agent in the summer so why the hell not?
What do you guys think?

well, now that the jazz are playing well
and he is playing well, so he would be harder to get.
he would play the 4, meaning LMA would play more center-which is bad news. I would rather get a 4/5 and easier to get than a pure 4 that would take a lot to get
bayless leaves over my dead body
Start Andre (in a 2 guard lineup)

if you should strike Oden down he will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine

I feel our problems lie primarily on the defensive end
Therefore, Boozer is not the solution.
As always, when discussing Boozer, I’m going to go ahead and post this chart.

Still on the Rex bandwagon.

Boozer provides better post defense than Aldridge....
and he fills out biggest offensive need which is a player that can score in the post.
This is downright AWESOME!
Rec for you , sir.

haha ok nice chart but....
he’s still an all star player, he CAN play the 5, just not as effective as pryz or oden were. the guy is guaranteed 20 10 most nights and if we have bayless who doesnt want to be here, why not package him with a couple of draft picks to utah…utah does want to get younger…remember its just a rental
Who says BRex dosen't want to be here ???
Some poster on O-Live ?? A rumor by Ben ?
Does he want to play extended minutes ? Of course.
Do I and most Blazermaniacs want to see him play extended
minutes ? YES !!!
Would we (BOB’s – Blacked out Blazermaniacs) like the management
to cancel this HORRRRRRRRIBLE cable deal with COINCAST ???
YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
COINCAST SUCKS !!!!
It's GO time !
I agree he is a good player on offense, but like I said, we need defense
And Boozer ain’t your man for that.
And let’s check the “Bayless doesn’t want to be here” talk until there is some verification. As far as I can tell, that rumor is stemming entirely from Dwight Jaynes and his ever secret “league sources.” A bunch of other folks have run with it, but I don’t believe it has been substantiated.
Still on the Rex bandwagon.
A future second round pick
If only we had more cap-space
Why?
Carlos Boozer is essentially a really expensive rental. We’d have to give up a lot to get him and then we’d just lose him at the end of the year when he signs with another team. Unless you think Boozer will bring us a championship this year, -which is very unlikely- what’s the point in that? It’s much smarter to make a trade for an asset or assets with some value beyond this year.
Also, I’m pretty sure it makes more sense for Boozer and Utah to ride the season out and arrange some sort of sign and trade in the offseason.

Well Utah wants to get younger. They have made that well known. The Bulls have made it known that they want to let go of Tyrus Thomas. So if we can somehow manufacture a 3 team deal with them, giving the Jazz Bayless and some unwanted draft picks to the bulls, then the Bulls give the Jazz Thomas and we get Boozer. Essentially the point I’m trying to make is, what in the world do we have to lose!
Boozer's hurt more than Grant Hill in the 90's.
He sucks, No way! Besides The Thrilla don’t like em so I don’t like em. And he’s a Blue Devil! Let Dante Get down, might as well take this opportunity to develop our young guns.
There's a trade drawer just five posts down
just saying.

im a magic fan
talking about a trade about bayless. maybe a gortat, aj or bass would benefit the blazers for bayless and a center
what we do in life echoes in eternity
Blake for Gortat works for me
or Blake for Bass. Bayless would cost extra. I do like the rights to Vasquez as a possible kicker though.
KP, punish Nate by taking away his comfort blanket. If he can’t figure things out then, he wasn’t going to figure them out anyway. And that’ll be that. Having Blake on this roster is a total waste. He’s a backup quality point guard (if that), and the only reason he’s here is for Roy (who happens to be a starter). Blake isn’t good enough to be a starter and isn’t qualified to run the show by himself with the

I'd actually would do a Boozer trade
Not for Boozer himself, but for his expiring contract. I’d rather throw that money at one of the 2010 free agents.
Bonus points if we can somehow get out of LA’s overpaid contract.
Are we still pro Hinrich here?
He’s really getting slammed by BaB, i’m almost starting to hesitate about annointing him as a starting pg.
"B-Roy is the best shooting guard I have played against"
-Ron Artest
Not all of us are pro Hinrich
We need the point guard that fits our window. With this latest Oden blip, Hinrich finds himself even further from our actual window for winning Championships.
I’ve always maintained us finding a guy that’s younger that will fit with at least the majority of our next run. Hinrich is having a dreadful year his year, and to try and project a significantly superior player somehow when he enters his 30’s is hard to do. While my main point against Hinrich before (the contract) is now a non-issue, I’m having a harder time buying that he puts us into the Championship category in the near future.
Need to find a young point guard, and there are tons out there. Time to stop shooting ourselves in the foot. Signing Blake as a free agent 3 years ago is turning out to have even more dreadful consequences than even I could’ve possibly believed.
