Nooo!!!
If we do trade him, I bet we’re gonna end up regretting it. This guy has the physical tools, work ethic, and intelligence to develop into a star. Also, he’s a fan favorite. I don’t understand how you can let an 11th pick go without even letting him show his stuff!
And to all you haters who say that he’s selfish, has a low BBIQ, or that he’s not a point guard, remember that they said the same things about Billups early in his career. Billups left college early (after his soph year) and this is probably why he took a while to develop. I bet we’re gonna be saying the same thing about Bayless in a couple years. If I’m running this team right now, Bayless is untouchable, even with all our injuries.
Untouchable?
That might be a little much. And for comparative purposes, Billups is definitely an exception to the rule. If the guy were going to be an all-star we’d know it by now.
Two points scored by GO’ = "thunderdunk"
because if he were THAT good, he would be getting PT
Its not like he’s Jermaine playing behind HOFer Sheed. He’s playing behind Blake and Miller. Nate and co might have some bias towards the vets, but they aren’t complete idiots.
I’m not saying he can’t play and maybe even start, but if his talent was that undeniable, he would be playing.

Remind me, who was Devin Harris playing behind in Dallas before he got traded?
Being a Blazer fan is not exactly healthy.
Who is Mark J. Miller?
And why does he write 2 paragraph blurbs about random scenarios and rumors?
ehhh ya know
gotta do whattcha gotta do

Start Andre (in a 2 guard lineup)

if you should strike Oden down he will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine

So, Ben
This officially makes him a locker-room cancer, right?

it's time for the bayless chants and signs in the rose garden
if the blazers trade bayless and leave blake as the starting PG they’re going to lose a lot of my money. i’m not paying higher ticket prices to see an inferior product
Thanks for creating drama where this is none, Dwight
Is he even traveling with the team? How would he know this?

30 years of NBA sources
Dwight said this was already old news when Vance asked him about it, a few hours ago
Cleary Jerryd is going to play now, with Rudy out. More PT instantly silences trade requests
(Rex learned that first hand from Sergio, last year)
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
Well my tickets will go op for sale....
Seems to me like the Bayless development is the only exciting thing left for this year. For me it was the only fun thing to watch last night. With the exception of Roy’s late game heroics the same was true for the Houston game.
Seems like he should either play or they should trade him. But I can not imagine watching a lot more of the Blake & Miller combo this year.
a little more frustration expressed by Bayless
There could be some validity to this rumor.
Last night at Madison Square Garden Bayless confessed to me that the point guard rotation was a bit, "… Frustrating because I think I’m able and capable of helping this team.
“Sometimes I just haven’t gotten the opportunity,” Bayless added after a loss to the Knicks. “I’ve been getting the opportunity the last couple of games to help this team. Hopefully we’ll continue to win. We lost tonight but hopefully we’ll get back on the right track.”
However, no confirmation on the request to be traded…keep a good thought!
in other news, I just witnessed my roommate share inside information from a dream last night. He claims that Brandon Roy has requested a trade.
Talks with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Denver Nuggets, and the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Houston Rockets are underway. Brandon would especially like to team with Trevor Ariza, he said. “It’s always been a dream of mine to play alongside Trev.” Steve Blake had no comment. When asked about the situation, Coach McMillan could only say that “Brandon does some things for us.”

(If you didn’t get the point of this post, it’s that rumors are often made-up and exaggerated. Sure, Bayless doesn’t like sitting on the bench.)
get well soon, big guy.

If Bayless hasn't requested a trade yet he should.
The kid is potentially losing millions of dollars by not playing, and for what? So he can sit on the bench and watch Blake ruin every fast break he gets his grubby little hands on?
He should go somewhere he can be productive.

Hey, I’m a big Rex guy. He should be playiing more than 17 minutes per game when he’s the best Blazer on the floor. But we can’t really worry about rumors like this, if we give him some playing time he’ll be fine. If Rudy’s back is as bad as i fear, Bayless with get a lot of time.
get well soon, big guy.

I know your roommate is lying or misinformed
It fails the smell test. Nate didn’t say “scrappy”.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
If we trade him, KP is dead in my eyes. A real GM needs to be able to realize that the coach or superstar doesn’t have the final say on ANYTHING if they’re just flat out wrong. You trade Blake, and keep Miller and Bayless. It really doesn’t get more obvious than that.
look above
yeah KP said he didn’t but yes it’s devastating :(

He should be, and most likely is way beyond upset by now.
I doubt that he has asked for a trade, but it definitely has to suck bigtime to see rookies such as; Brandon Jennings, Stephen Curry, Johnny Flynn, Tyreke Evans, Ty Lawson, Darren Collison, James Harden, DeMar DeRozen, Marcus Thornton, and (the closest of these rookie guards to Bayless in minutes per game) Eric Maynor, who plays 15.2 minutes per, every other one of these rookies plays at least 20 per. And Bayless? A mere 10.2 minutes per. Not to mention his peers from his 2008/2009 rookie class. Derrick Rose (who is Bayless’ rival, see youtube) OJ Mayo, Eric Gordon, Russell Wetbrook, Mario Chalmers, Courtney Lee, Rudy Fernandez, DJ Augustine, Chris Douglas Roberts and the amazing… (drum roll please) George hill! A staggering 20 guys total, 10 rookies, 10 sophomores, All guards, And all have played significant roles and seen significant minutes. All have made an impact on their respective teams and all have felt a surge in their confidence level. (I could have added more to this list if I had used other positions).
Now are we to believe that Bayless is simply inferior to these guys? Does he lack the work ethic and commitment that it takes? Or has Nate failed to give him a fair chance due to him playing behind such a magnificent starter in Steve Blake. Ty Lawson Is playing behind Chauncey Billups and he still sees 21.3 minutes per, twice the minutes Bayless is getting. No knock on Steve, I just think he should back up Bayless
If Jerryd hasn’t asked for a trade he should be praised for his loyalty.

Hey, if you are behind Steve Blake in a rotation
you can’t expect many minutes.
