Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Would Greg be allowed to wear knee braces like these in the NBA? Are these even legal?

How would they effect his mobility?

lol is that made of metal?

then i would sya probably not for health interest of other players

he doesn't need those

look at the brace that Bynum wears for the lakers, it is more of a sleave that helps the knee keep stablized. Greg should wear two of those for the rest of his career.

Might as well give him a helmet too.

Elbow pads too

On game day, I leave the turkey alone because it is some chemicals in that thing. Nate Mcmillian 11/26/09

If I owned a team

Every player who was either 6’6" or taller, making more than $5 mil a year or had any serious knee injuries would be wearing neoprene braces with padding over the kneecap. No one these days is wearing a Patrick Ewing style brace but I see no reason to have no protection in such a vulnerable spot.

It wouldn't be a bad idea...

but there is no real conclusive evidence in the medical community that knee braces help to prevent injury. My doctor didn’t even give me a brace until I asked. But I say do it…. it will definitely make the opponents want to avoid Greg’s knees.

WHAT DO THESE GREAT BIGS HAVE IN COMMON?

and sorry for this one but

Not just knee braces, but knee pads. Ewing even has the brace under the pad. Sure they look dorky (and awesome at the same time). I just cant figure out why he doesn’t rock the classic big man gear…..

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
