Merry Christmas ...from Payless
Merrrrrry Christmas
" Welcome to the Bedge....where good, is never good enough"…Rudiculous
I just remember the jingle
Payless was a big deal growing up in Grants Pass

I remember the one in Roseburg
being ancient….and on 2 floors with an escalator

Doesnt it stink in the garden?

Yep. And I really do think Brandon will have a return to form over the next month
I think it would have happened with or without Greg, but the loss of Greg will probably expedite it for a number of reasons.
We only have one player (Miller) coming off the bench tonight that we thought would even be in our rotation.
Roy, Aldridge, Oden, Rudy, Batum, Outlaw, Webster, Bayless, Blake, Miller, Joel... Holy crap!
Bayless! Bayless! Bayless!

I wish that Bayless could have all of Blake's minutes
I’m so sad watching the Blazers now, I want the feeling of seeing our young guys develop again as long as we’re not going to be championship contenders.

Have we had way, way more problems with the shot clock this year compared to last year?
I can’t believe how many we’re hucking up against the clock. We’re just not getting good looks from our halfcourt offense with any kind of regularity.

So, here's why I'm not worried about this game yet
The Blazers are on the first game of the trip after a long weekend. They don’t look like they don’t care, they just look a bit deflated. Plus they’re missing shots, including some easy ones.
Sooner or later, more shots should start falling. And we’ll see some fresh energy from Bayless and Cunningham. This is a gmae they should win.
I'd feel more confident
if “games we should win” had been games that we’d been winning. I’m a Mopey Molly in this thread tonight, apologies.

Honestly
the only blazer that has impressed me this year just got injured
Roy, Aldridge, Oden, Rudy, Batum, Outlaw, Webster, Bayless, Blake, Miller, Joel... Holy crap!
That's my first thought too
On the other hand, they were a step slow for the last week or two.
They definitely look deflated tonight.
Freeman or Meagher want to be part of Team Dante :)

did Roy also forget how to make layins over the summer?
also are we going to let Lee shoot wide open ft jumpers?

this low scoring game favors us

LA and Roy not returning to last year's form as I predicted they would with Oden down, at least not yet.

"Rudy is not everyday a shooter," Fernandez said. "He's defense. He's passes. He's assists."
LA's one on one game is just nonexistent
Whenever he get’s the ball down low I cringe….
"Rudy is not everyday a shooter," Fernandez said. "He's defense. He's passes. He's assists."
so what happens if this team just decides to mail the season in which judging by this first half is a very real possibility?

We all lose if that happens
but especially Paul Allen and Greg lose.

things we need to be a contender:
- a healthy Oden
- a motivated Roy who didn’t spend all offseason not touching a basketball
- an LMA who isn’t counting his money all day
- a better PG, or Bayless if he can develop a la Westbrook
- healthy, decent role players— Batum, Rudy and Outlaw might qualify in the future
- a coach who can teach pick and roll defense
That’s all we need. That’s it. We are practically there.

the only thing that's gonna work at this point is Roy and LMA somewhat resembling a max guy and a 65 mil guy, respectively.

They only come into effect next year. Now they are still on their regular ones.
Which means LMA makes moar monay than Roy.
