Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

It's a tough time to be a Blazers fan, but you guys will survive. I promise. Except those of you who are terminally ill. Can't promise you anything.

I get tired

of seeing how if we took Kevin Durant we’d be NBA Champions or something of that nature. Durant wouldn’t look the same here as he does in OKC and people don’t seem to acknowledge that… But then again it seems most NBA discussions online are always over-run by “ZOMG LeBron James just made a jump shot! He’s WAAAAAY better than Jordan.”

In relation though to the record, I don’t see us going 41-41. I was talking to someone about this a little while ago and I’m figuring that we’ll end up more in the low 30’s in victories (not like I’m trilled about that). At least with as bad as this seasons already been we look like we’re going to get a lottery pick in the draft & can be a good team getting a good draft pick because we had a down year. Looking forward to next year when we get a healthy Oden & Batum back into the line-up. Should be interesting to see how the team does for the rest of the year. Hopefully at the very least we stay healthy.

low 30s?

I think we’ll do better than that. Wes till have Roy and Aldridge, and Miller. I think we’ll still do decent.

I think low 30’s is a little harsh. I mean, you still get to play my Warriors three or four more times, right?

I looked at the schedule again

I’m not trying to be harsh. But I definatly see us dropping games we shoudn’t due to fatigue from being short handed. I hope I’m wrong, we’ll all see how the season turns out.

Simmon's prediction had nothing to do with injuries

so why even bring it up? If anything, the loss of Oden should help the Blazers to overcome all the factors that Simmons claimed the Blazers would struggle. This just seems like another “I told you so” post… Stupid.

Barring any other devastating injuries...

I think we do finish better than .500 at this point. Bounced in the first round though.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
