Moving on Trade Drawer
I know Greg Oden's hurt and out for the season we are hurting player wise and could use some help especially at the center position considering Joel is not known for staying healthy himself, so I have a proposal we trade Andre Miller straight up for Marcin Gortat this will give us a nice backup to the center position until Greg Oden is back up and running next season, and we could keep Gortat in the event Pryz opts out. Orlando would get a starting PG to fill in for Nelson, plus Gortat wouldn't be complaining about minutes anymore. I know parting with Miller would be difficult for a lot of people but lets face it he hasn't meshed with our star player and we know Roy ain't going anywhere. So what do you think? You got a better idea?

Any chance they have a bad contract?
Then we could send them Blake, Outlaw, and Miller for Gortat and that contract, if the guy is just overpaid and not a scrub.

gortat is the bad contract
van gundy’s not happy with his attitude and production, and who can blame him? he’s a pretty terrific player, sure surprised me during the playoffs, and he’s not getting any time behind Dwight Howard. I’d be upset if I seemed destined to start at center alongside Dirk Nowitzki and then be yanked back to 10 minutes a game. not even 5 years $34 million would placate me to accept that role. I like the idea, but how bout blake and outlaw? they’d have to throw in somebody to cover the money gap, but it’s time for B roy to get used to playing with miller. all great player adjust, even my least favorite Kobe was able to be the star when Shaq left and then later he (finally) became a team player.
I dunno 'bout that
but it’s time for B roy to get used to playing with miller
I had a hard time believing Miller was a long-term solution at the PG position anyways. I hardly believe he has much gas left in the tank beyond journeymanning it up until he fades out of NBA existance. Now with Greg out, Miller becomes a seriously overpaid commodity on a team that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Additionally, Miller has actually had some nice games lately, especially scoring the ball. With Greg out and Blake’s performance souring, the possibility of trading Miller for a decent young big cannot be dismissed out of hand.
Dogs have Owners, Cats have Staff.
miller ha actually got better as he aged
you look at andre miller’s last 2 season he basically rescued a team than iverson tried his hardest to destroy. 76ers had no business winning more than 30 games each year with their roster, yet miller willed them into the playoffs. this was after brand went out with injuries as well, last season.
his scoring was at career highs with very good shooting perecentages, and he was a strong rebounder for a little guy.. if dalembert had anything other than hands of stone, miller would have averaged another 2 assists per game. there is no legit reason to even suggest that miller is on his last legs. to really see the value of miller look at where the 76ers are today without him.
teamwise the best 5 for the blazers to have on the court now are roy, miller, pryzibilla, aldridge and fernandez. the last game is just a small taste of what roy and miller could be together.
What about Blake,2010 and 2011 2nd round picks, and Howard for David Lee
New York wants a new point guard and it would give time to Hill to grow this season, and both contracts also expire at the seasons end.
Lee could fill in for Oden and Howards minutes at the starting center and backup pf and if he played well could be signed for an extension but if it didn’t work could just be let go as Oden returns.

If NY is serious about clearing space
This works somewhat, but I bet they’re starting to see the writing on the wall that LeBron isn’t going to NY, and I think they want to keep Lee after signing a free agent anyway.
Love to make that trade though.

Isn't David Lee just signed for the one year too?
And it’s not even like the Knicks have their own lottery pick for which to tank. Trading Lee makes zero sense for them.
It doesn't look like they want to keep him( as they only signed him to a one year deal after seemingly negotiating forever)
And by trading him they get 2 second round picks and their new starting point guard. If they aren’t looking to win or keep him in the future then why shouldn’t they just trade him on December 25?

David Lee is a BYC player and has a no-trade clause due to an issue involving his Bird rights.
Dear Paul Allen:
Fire Nate McMillan & hire Jeff Van Gundy.
Sincerely,
AK1984
Gortat is BYC as well
the Knicks won’t pick up any contracts that extend into 2010, they’re focused on July. Acquiring Miller is a non-starter for them
KP can’t make any moves until he knows when (and for how long) Rudy will be back. Ferndandez has already missed games in November and December; back pain at his age is not a good sign.
LMA’s knee is also one bump away from putting him back on the sidelines
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
Yeah, David Lee will play out the season in NY.
Dear Paul Allen:
Fire Nate McMillan & hire Jeff Van Gundy.
Sincerely,
AK1984
That's why I think the move should be
Blake for Brandon Bass. Bass fills a need, and is a young backup who can grow with this team during the window in the next few years. Also, I want to see what Jerryd Bayless can do with real minutes, and for that to happen, Miller or Blake will likely need to be moved. If KP can score a good young rotation big in any package involving those two, I’m all for it.
Always supporting Greg Oden.

but nobody wants Brand
not in 1,000,000,000,000,001 years. they’re stuck with that. the also don’t want Miller back. Dalembert would be nice, I just don’t think we have what philly wants
I like Blatche from the Wizards
He plays with a ton of energy and make shots and block them as well. Don’t know about his contract but the Wiz should be over the cap and might do a deal. Howard and Outlaw for Andriy Blatche.
Players I'd be interested in trading for:
Rudy Gay
David Lee
Devin Harris
Brandon Bass
Tyrus Thomas
Players I wouldn’t mind trading:
Blake
Outlaw
Howard
Miller
Get Well Oden
