It all depends.
The west isn’t as strong as it was in the past few years. I think we can sneak in 7th or 8th. Depend who we face, if we get 8th it’s Lakers and we’re likely to lose. If we get 7th we either get nuggets or spurs. Spurs, we have a very good shot at winning; against the nuggets same story with the Lakers.
Our season also depends on who we pick up via trade very soon, and what we have to give up.
Blazers have ZERO chance of getting out of the first round so just come to grips with that right now.
Roy, Aldridge, Oden, Rudy, Batum, Outlaw, Webster, Bayless, Blake, Miller, Joel... Holy crap!
There's always hope.
"Rudy is not everyday a shooter," Fernandez said. "He's defense. He's passes. He's assists."
The cavs were supposed to win it all last year
There is a reason why we play the game
The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of Greg Oden.
Just hold on
Nic will probably be back. Travis might be.
We don’t know what Dante is going to be by the end of the year.
We don’t know what Pendergraph will do when thrown into the deep end — will he sink or swim?
We don’t know if KP is going to swing a trade, and if he does, we don’t know what our roster will be.
We don’t know who we’ll face in the first round, and what the matchups will be.
We don’t know how many injuries our first round opponent will have.
We don’t know whether Andre and Brandon and LMA are really going to mesh together.
We don’t know just how good Rudy is going to be at the end of the season.
We don’t know if Martell’s game is going to improve as he gets into the flow after missing an entire season.
We don’t know if Bayless is going to be able to provide instant offense off the bench.
ZERO chance is not very much.
Not saying I think there is a high chance we get out of the first round. There clearly isn’t. But when you have a player like Brandon who is unstoppable when he is on, you always have a chance, and we have a lot of other players who have the potential to be very good on a given day.

I think some people are underestimating this team still.
I’m OK with other teams doing this, but not us as fans. Without any trades being made we still have a great team. When our guys get back from the injuries we will still have a shot at making and competing in the playoffs. I’m in no way concluding that our season is lost or over. If anything we can go back to what worked last year, when Oden was not an option on offense. Lets make the best of this. There is no reason to even be talking about the lottery.
When the Blazers play bad I don't like them less... I like Blazers Edge less.
Either late first round or second round but a trade will probably occur so ther's no way to know
1. People forget Oden had only been playing around 25 minutes a game whicj could mostly be taken by Pryzbilla and LaMarcus now.
2. Remember that the blazers, barring any new serious injuries, should have everyone healthy before the postseason.
3. With Oden out now Roy and Lamarcus will become even more focal points of the offense and could get into a real groove.

What?
Just because I don’t think Portland will get out of the first round doesn’t mean I will stop watching the team! I was just throwing the question out there. Do we want to take a chance at a guy like John Wall or face a likely first round exit? I know it came off as extremely negative, but I will still watch the games.

I'm devastated by this, but the lottery?
Do you guys remember what some of the bad teams are? The only way we make the lottery is by purposefully losing games. Yeah, we’re under maned, but who cares! We’re gonna get some good luck coming our way soon.

anything can happen in the playoffs
rockets took LA to 7 without ming
bayless leaves over my dead body
Start Andre (in a 2 guard lineup)

if you should strike Oden down he will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine
The Warriors took the Mavs a while back.

I don't care about either anymore
I was so excited as a blazer fan because we had CHAMPIONSHIP prospects. Broy was talking about CHAMPIONSHIPS this year. Roy and LA are nice but our chance to win it all rode on the knees of Greg Oden. I hope he recovers and comes back strong but it will be like holding your breathe just waiting for the next potential injury. I’m not one for throwing away an entire season but honestly, I’m gonna have a hard time being real enthused about this year.
The Blazers as a whole are far more like my wife than like me in the sense of their physicality on defense.
