Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

A bittersweet night in Rip City.

Our scrappy, gutsy Blazers led by our fearless, take no prisoners B-Roy were back. They came together as a team and pulled out a thrilling one point win... but... Our hearts sank and we shed a tear for our young warrior of a center as we witnessed his likely season ending injury. He has worked so hard to rediscover the joy in the game he can dominate only to find misfortune in his path yet again. It is a setback to be sure, but this kid has incredible heart. He will be back, and he will be the centerpiece of a team that is winning championships in the next decade. We need look no further than too our worthy advisary from tonight's game to see that an NBA team can compete without great size and despite key injuries. The Blazers can still take another step down the path towards the ultimate goal this season. It seams that injury, illness, and growing pains will be the lasting memory from the 2009 portion of this season. That said, I still have faith that the 2010 portion of the season will bring us an exciting divisional race,a hard working and together team, and a deaper run into the playoffs. Go Blazers!

It's pretty clear that the season is over already ;)

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
