BEdgers....by tomorrow morning there will more than likely be a media blitz of articles, blogs, and video segments about how Greg is a bust or a Sam Bowie 2.0. Greg has given his heart and soul to this team and has done everything the fans and the staff has asked him too. With all the pressure that has come with selecting Greg as our number 1 pick, we all know what he must be going through right now.
We all need to rally together and help Greg get back on his feet. We have self appointed ourselves as the best fan base in the NBA, and I challenge you to prove it. Please send a short video clip of yourself wishing Greg a speedy recovery. The deadline for video submissions will be Wedsneday Dec 9. I will hopefully compile the video by Friday the 11th.
Please send submissions to getwellgregoden@gmail.com. If you would like to assist me with the video or have ideas, please let me know.

I will miss seeing you smile and play BBall! Really appreciated all of your hard work
to get ready for the season!!! It was sooo obvious in your talented play and attitude. What fun watching you LOVE playing bball this season so far! I’ve read so many takes on what this means to the Blazers and you. Really only the Blazers and you know. I’m sure you will take this time to continue to appreciate your life and gifts. Thank you again. I feel lucky to have seen you play so far…can’t wait for the encore!!
you will recover
on june 22, 2003, I ruptured my patella tendon. This was a day after I was fired from my job, two days after my girlfriend broke up with me. I was sent back to portland with no money and no place to live. I had no insurance to cover the cost. No rehab to help me recover. It was the worst case scenario. Worse than I could have ever imagined. My emotional support either dead or left me for something better, I had a K2 size hill to climb to get back to a normal life. I laid on a couch for a week in sweltering 100+ weather waiting to get into emergency surgery, it took a week. Finally I was able to get the surgery done and was told I would never walk or run the same, most likely with a limp, permanently.
Long story short, here I am, recovered and back to life as normal. That experience as bad as it sounds, made me a much stronger person than I ever imagined I could be. I learned a lot about what real friends are and how many people will turn away when you need help. I learned that it only takes a few people who truly love you to be able to overcome such a disasterous situation.
Rewind to November 14th 2009. While playing pick up ball with a few coworkers, I ruptured my left patella tendon. I had surgery on November 19th and am waiting for the surgery to heal before I can start PT. I have a good job, amazing coworkers and insurance. Still the pain of this injury is overwhelming. No amount of painkillers makes it alright. This is the type of injury that can be more of a mental battle than a physical one.
I have been a diehard blazer fan for years and haven’t missed watching a game in three years. I use the games as a type of therapy to take my mind of off what I am going through. When I saw Greg go down I knew what happened, just as I knew what happened when Damon when down with the Grizz at the RG (right patella tendon rupture). My heart goes out to Oden as I know what a painful situation he now has to overcome. I think I cried for Oden, for me, for anyone that has to go through this type of reconstruction. I can only pray that Oden is able to stay positive and has the support he needs, as a person with a heart, to overcome this devastating injury.
Oden, my heart goes out to you, along with a few tears. Get well and stay positive. I know I’ll be thinking about you with every step I try to take on a long long road to recovery.
Sorry, I don’t have a video camera.
Wishing you nothing but the best.

Beast
Greg – you’re an absolute beast out there – my favorite player to watch in the NBA. You’ve got a strong character and a strong presence on the court. True fans out there are feeling disappointed same as you, but we all know that you’ll be back and that you’re WELL worth the wait. Your play this year was All-Star caliber and I look forward to seeing more of the same when you get back up to speed.
Take it easy, man, and I’ll see you in 2010!
Good luck Greg
I wish you a smooth rehab. The frustration must be huge – but not as frustrating as the knee-jerk (sorry – too soon?)commentary that sports fans are known for the world over. Take your time and do everything completely, and we’ll see you in time for next year. We are behind you 100 percent. – Elgin

The day will come-- a ring for Oden and the Blazers
Greg, keep you eyes focused on where you’re going— it’ll help you get through all the rehab that happens first.
Where you’re going: You’ll be taking the Blazers to the NBA Finals within 2 years and walking away with a ring. You’ll have shown the world that you’re an amazing talent, an incredibly strong human being, a man who can overcome adversity and triumph.
We’re all proud of how far you’ve come. Your my favorite player in the NBA and I’m grateful to Pritchard for selecting you #1— that’s where you’ll always be in the hearts of true Blazer fans. We’re with you big man— heal quickly and fully!
Just a reminder
I am compiling all of the videos that people are sending in. I’m receiving a lot of txt emails and I’m not sure what to do with them. So please…video submissions only. Thanks!

Best Wishes....
Blazers fans are really proud of the hard work and heart you’ve shown this year. You’ll be back — we all know it. Ignore the negative criticism (or use it as fuel) and just focus on healing.
"Every time I see Stern in public now, I kept expecting him to point up to a helicopter hovering above, like Sosa did to impress Tony in "Scarface," followed by the sight of a beaten-up Tim Donaghy being pushed out of the 'copter in midair," Bill Simmons, ESPN Draft Diary 2008
----------Think Forward Again Greg----------
I’ve been through a lot more than you. I made it. Many more have been through a lot more than me.They made it. You will make it. No doubt Greg
Your heart and determination makes me a very proud fan, Greg.
On and off the floor, your hard work and dignity in which you carry yourself give many of us something positive to cheer about and be thankful for. Thank you for that.

Get Well G.O.!!
Keep your head up, work hard, and next year will be here soon!
I would be happy to contribute instrumental music from my studio for the video
I also made a video for GO’s rehab .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKDiMFkfRSo If I can help in any way ,I would be happy to
Epic fail
Thanks to GUnit, Tony Trinh, and Alex Moore for your submissions…sadly I only got 3 submissions not including myself. I’ll forward these videos to the team, but with only 1 minute of footage I probably won’t be doing anything with them.
Please blame Dougall and Starvin Marvin for not contributing.
