well our season is done

now that Greg is out it's safe to say we would be even lucky to make it to playoffs. We would have been lucky to make it to playoffs with him they way we are playing.

So now what ? This season has been nothing but dissapointments. Travis, nicolas, greg, rudy is hurt, Nate doin a  crappy job, blake playing horrible what else??

Basically just have to use this season as practice. Got to start using cunningham and bayless as much as possible to get them exdperience. Maybie we get to playoffs and lose in first round is the best we can hope for.

Maybie we can tear apart the free agency this offseason and get our contender team put together. Best thing to look foreward to atm.

I am so dissapointed it's rediculous..

better luck next season  blazers... I will still be rooting for yah this season of course.. try and keep your head up Greg

go blazers

This Blazer season reminds me of Apollo 13

Forget about landing on the moon. Let’s just get the boys home safe

When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!

Trials and tribulations

This is going to be our toughest season yet and we will be stronger because of it.

Those four faces on Mount Rushmore are always there to remind us that yes, if you do enough good deeds, you will change into a mountain when you die.

I'm not entirely convinced that a team with:

Roy/Aldridge/Miller/Przy with one or two of Webster/Bayless/Rudy playing well every night… Is that not a playoff team?

Blake however, sucks and should be relegated to 3rd string behind Rex.

What really pains me is that its possible to return from this injury

When its not bad but looking at that injury… man that was bad.

Oh and you forgot about Nate’s injury.

We were 14 and 7 without Oden last season....

If we get some of the other players back we might salvage something.

20 games in and the world is going to explode

calm down! just because we have injuries does not mean we cant make it to the playoffs. Sure we may have to lower our expectations a little, but this is still a team with a lot of talented players on it. Its pretty sad to see how easily certain “fans” are willing to give up on their team

to be more clear

this post is giving up. a statement of surrender, anyone who doesn’t think so is dillusional

by GetOver on Dec 5, 2009 11:41 PM PST reply actions

Dont call it quits yet

Giving up isnt the answer. This team needs to come together and play as a TEAM. Do it for Greg.

i understand you frustration

but this post is absurd. This team may not be a contender anymore, but it never really was this year. You can expect a 4 or 5 seed and maybe a second round loss out of the team that remains. What we may gain out of this, is some playing time for young guys who need it and a possible game changing trade. Believe me the glass is as half full as it has been all season.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
