What if MJ came back to the NBA?
Well, first I'll admit that I'm writing this because I'm bored and I just watched Michael Jordan's Hall Of Fame speech for the first time. He said at the end of it "hey maybe you'll see me playing at 50. Don't laugh." then in an interview with Michael Wilbon he said "I can still run with the young horses."
MJ is 46 now. But in my mind, if there's any player that can be a very good player at that age it's Michael. His first season back with the Wizards he was 38 and was turning 39 during the season. He played in 60 games and averaged 22.9 points per game. In his second season with Washington he was 39 and going to turn 40 during the season. He played in all 82 games and averaged 20.0 points per game. I can't think of any guard at that age that's ever done that.
I know that when MJ was with Washington he wasn't near the player he was in the 80's and 90's but he could still play. Also I know that being 40 in the NBA and being 46 in the NBA would probably be a whole different thing. But I think that MJ could do it. I don't know what team he would go to if he would come back which I doubt he will. I really doubt that he would want to play for the Charlotte Bobcats.
But also think of it like this. If MJ came back the match ups that he would have a couple times a year would be huge. Think about a Kobe Vs Michael, LeBron Vs Michael, Dwyane Wade Vs Michael, and even Brandon Roy Vs Michael. But I doubt if Michael came back at 46 or 50 like he said he "might" do that he would guard any one of those players. But he would probably want to because of his competitiveness. But who says you can't play at 50? If anyone can do it I think Jordan can. Will he? I doubt it. But I would love to see it. Unless he's wearing a Bobcats uniform then that would just kill it. But maybe even then I would love to see it.

Just a quick take on this. Haven't had time to read your post yet.
Frankly, I don’t expect to see Michael Jackson suit up any time soon for an NBA team.
First, let’s not forget that MJ is dead. I know it hasn’t been for very long, and we’re still just getting used to the idea. But as they say, death is natures way of saying, Hey, chill out for a while!"
Second, MJ would be called for traveling every time he touched the ball. Moon walking = turnovers galore!
Third, I just think he wouldn’t be comfortable with that crowd. NBA players are a lot bigger and stronger than the kids MJ is used to hanging out with, and they probably wouldn’t be into all the things he likes. Of course, I can’t be sure about that.
It’s back to the rumor board for that little item …

But on the other hand, wouldn't it be rad to see Thriller performed at MSG with an actual zombie involved?
37-33. Pasadena. Roses. Bliss.
"We will guard thee on and on."
MJ couldn't guard Steve Blake...
but I would LOVE to see him try!
When the Blazers play bad I don't like them less... I like Blazers Edge less.
MJ wouldn't guard Juwan Howard
Maybe he just wants to torture the Blazers for picking Powie Bowie over him…

i can't believe that is the response u got from mj's speech
He shouldn’t come back, just like he shouldn’t have come back in washington. just like he shouldn’t be an owner, just like he should have acted different in his hof speech. Everything he has done since leaving the bulls has done nothing but soiled the legend of michael jordan.
I'm just coolin'

This is a video of Jordan losing a one-on-one game to a short, bald CEO. The game happened as part of one of Jordan’s corporate basketball retreats.

That guy who won should get a lifetime supply of Air Jordans.

He showed about as much effort as Oliver Miller did
His ego is still as big as the stack of money in his basement.

He'd be on the bench with Nate after about 3 min.

Head Czar of Amerika <--- Mortimer said so so there!!!
I'd like Jordan to play again just to see him in HD
Start Andre Miller NOW to showcase him for a trade.
Good point
He’d be so awesome in HD
I was blinded to that by sick alley-oops and facials

Can you imagine the ridiculous calls the refs would give him?
He’d be a 20 ppg guy just from the FT line.

He'd be so slow players would be confused into fouling him.

A smaller Dirk?
I would assume the only thing that has survived in his game is the turnaround fadeaway jumper.
Ceterum censeo Lakers esse delendam
There’s no reason to bring Jordan back. One unretirement was bad enough with the horrible Wizards. He should have gone out in glory with 6 rings and called it a career. But he has a huge ego and couldn’t put his ball away. Coming back now would be embaressing. Because those superstars you mentioned above? They would abuse MJ and his old wheels.

It would be hilarious to see "His Airness" soil his pants after being dunked on by ODEN!
I doubt that even MJ isn’t arrogant enough to think he could come back this late in life.
