Umm..
I’d have to disagree with Aldridge being best at the 5. I was under them impression that Aldridge hated playing the center full time? Either way, it’s moot .

Stein obviously hasn't studied Oden's efficiency numbers.

weak.
I’m sure that the other teams really want Oden to get the ball. They must enjoy getting dunked on. Teams like to see Andre shoot a three. Or Blake lead a fast break. But I don’t think any coach is saying, “Let Greg get under the hoop and catch the ball”.
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

Asinine
Putting Lamarcus at the 5 is far from our best line up. Oden’s played great this year; the flow issues aren’t his fault, they’re just not utilizing him properly.

non sequitur
what does Andre Miller not working have to do with Oden creating spacing problems? Andre Miller hasn’t worked out because he was treated like a scrub.
Trade Nate!

wow, that's retarded
That’s some pretty terrible analysis there. That “scout” has no idea what the hell he is talking about. I’ve heard better takes from drunks at a sports bar. Neither stats, nor observation, confirm his analysis. Especially since statistically, we don;t do all that well with LMA @ the 5.

The article is fired.
Good bye
Land Rondo.
"He needs to realize that he can't stop every shot, especially from a smaller and offensively potent player. Get your hands up, make him shoot it over you, but let him shoot every once in a while. They score a little but you stay in the game a lot. And when you stay in the game...smashy smashy!" Dave on Greg Oden

That sounds like a scout in the modern NBA
Currently in the NBA the trend is to have your big guys out around the 3 point line shooting jumpers, and that is why this scout likes LMA at the 5 more than an Oden or Joel. The Blazers have the ability to play like teams played in the 80’s and 90’s, with a big man in the middle who takes almost all of the attention of the opponent to stop. That frees up so much on the outside that your shooters are getting open shots off of kick out passes. Greg has already shown the ability to be a great passer out of the posts, from hitting cutters to kickouts when he is doubled.
This scout is obviously not on the path to being a coach.

Epic fail
None of the problems Blazers are having are because of Greg. He’s been the one bright spot this year. I think this scout has something personal against G.O. because this is just ridiculous. “Oden jams up the floor”? Yeah, so did Shaq, Kareem, Wilt, and all the other great bigs with multiple championship rings. Is some team really PAYING this scout money? FAIL.
Roy, Aldridge, Oden, Rudy, Batum, Outlaw, Webster, Bayless, Blake, Miller, Joel... Holy crap!

Actually
I think the blazers have looked good with LA at the 5 this year. Very very smooth with a lot of movement that way. Greg still needs to be integrated into the offense though with our big lineup.
The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of Greg Oden.

based on the 20 minutes of total time that they've done it?
