ESPN has a contract with NBA

It’s not in their best interests to show that part of the game.

SportsCenter did indeed cover the incident

It’s clearly news, so it had to be covered. But they didn’t want to make it the focus during all the gameday recaps.

That explains it

Land Rondo.

"He needs to realize that he can't stop every shot, especially from a smaller and offensively potent player. Get your hands up, make him shoot it over you, but let him shoot every once in a while. They score a little but you stay in the game a lot. And when you stay in the game...smashy smashy!" Dave on Greg Oden

just wondering....

what exactly is blake doing for us?

dude just catches the ball 28’ from the hoop, looks around for 5+ seconds and then passes it off to roy/jbay.

by CleBlazer on Dec 25, 2009 8:51 PM PST reply actions

Well, Blake is losing minutes right now anyway

But beyond that, it looks like he’s been told that his job in the offense is to get the other guards going, and shoot less himself. Just guessing though.

bayless

needs to keep bowling into the lane. He can’t worry about getting blocked again (and I know that’s impossible). But he’s got to get in there and do what Roy’s doing: put the body into the shotblocker to protect the ball and draw a foul.

that’s the beauty of it. We put Bayless in the Roy-role, forcing the traps that teams attack our pick and roll with. Then Bayless jumps really high and passes to the big man who distributes to Roy, who has the weakened defense to attack.

He scored 8 points in 90 seconds and drew two fouls on Carmelo, and totally got under Carmello’s skin. Total momentum shift. He brought the fire.

Martell played some damn good defense on Carmelo, but Melo just played better offense. Exactly what you need out of him and that is to make opposing team’s star SF’s life very very tough. Great game from him.

I'd just comment:

“brandonroyformvp”

and then run.

It's been said that Bayless can't run a team, can't shoot from outside, well we've found out that what he really can't do is lose a big game. -Mike Rice

Wow, LMA played 45 minutes, Roy with 43.

That is a lot of run. I hope they can keep it up.

2 day rest should help

and their next five games are all against bad teams

I know we are 5-1

but with all the injuries . we play no bad teams. we need max effort from every player

Reporter: Four assists tonight too, Travis. You're starting to shed that idea that you're just a shooter. You're starting to pass the ball more too...
Travis: (Deadpans) Aw, I just got tired..

Great game by the players AND the coaching staff

Everybody kicked some booty.

What I was most impressed with was Roy playing both team ball and being able to take over when ness.

thank you!

McMillan needs to start getting way more love from the BEdge faithful. If folks want to assail his in-game tactics and subbing patterns, it’s clear that this team comes in to every game with a PLAN and they set about executing it. Only a few teams really do that (my short list, Boston, LA, Houston). How many coaches could have possible done better? Even Phil Jackson and Larry Brown would have quit on this team yet it’s a question no one even thinks to ask the Blazers because it’s inconceivable that the team would quit.

M, period. Fresh, comma.

The Nuggets have the most arrogant punks in the NBA

but they got carved up like some jive turkeys tonight.

OMG I just jizzed in my France

Ugh

Birdman and Kenyon are in my Top 5 least favorite players in the league.

Keep the faith.

The meaning of team...

is showing with these guys. The way they move on offense with little or no hesitation is refreshing. Without all the studs trying to prove themselves with limited minutes, we have 8/9 cohesive guys without any preconceived idea of how this team ‘should’ fit together. These guys are creating on the run, and the flow is really enjoyable to watch. This group of energetic Blazers are playing heart and with a sense that every moment counts. These guys are growing up as a team. That is about as much as we can ask for as Blazer fans during this holiday season.
