nothing about the laker tantrum after the Cavs game on ESPN

That being said, I do expect them to show it in the full Sportscenter later
Just not focus on it during gamebreaks or halftime.
SportsCenter did indeed cover the incident
It’s clearly news, so it had to be covered. But they didn’t want to make it the focus during all the gameday recaps.
That explains it
Land Rondo.
"He needs to realize that he can't stop every shot, especially from a smaller and offensively potent player. Get your hands up, make him shoot it over you, but let him shoot every once in a while. They score a little but you stay in the game a lot. And when you stay in the game...smashy smashy!" Dave on Greg Oden

Laker fans had a tantrum and threw foam fingers and water bottles on the court
Presumably because they weren’t getting all the calls.
Yeah, the Laker fans on Yahoo were complaining about the refs
and nothing but the refs

just wondering....
what exactly is blake doing for us?
dude just catches the ball 28’ from the hoop, looks around for 5+ seconds and then passes it off to roy/jbay.
Well, Blake is losing minutes right now anyway
But beyond that, it looks like he’s been told that his job in the offense is to get the other guards going, and shoot less himself. Just guessing though.
well he hit a three
and made a dumb turnover and played bad D
bayless leaves over my dead body
Start Bayless (in a 2 guard lineup)
if you should strike Oden down he will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine

bayless
needs to keep bowling into the lane. He can’t worry about getting blocked again (and I know that’s impossible). But he’s got to get in there and do what Roy’s doing: put the body into the shotblocker to protect the ball and draw a foul.
love it
especially against a team like the Nuggets. They are big and scary and fast, but Bird and Nene aren’t good rebounders, and K-Mart can be had on defense. So you have to get down there and mix it up—you can’t be scared by all the muscles.

I mean, Carmelo is GOOD. I’m duly impressed. If Billups played in the second half, this result might have been different.
But they can get back to me when they lose as many players as us.
Denver fans actually complain a lot because he will hurt their offense in going after his own.
He has a high APER this year, but I take Brandon for culture reasons and past performance.

That's not meant to by hyperbole.
The only players who are guaranteed to be better than Brandon either wouldn’t fit well on the team, or would leave as soon as possible anyway.
I would take Chris Paul due to injury concerns.

Chris Paul would be the closest I'd have to consideration.
Because we have Rudy and Bayless at SG.
Wade might actually be #2 since he’d slide right into Roy’s position.
But in both cases, there would be some shock from losing the heart of the team.
CP is the heart and soul guy who might end up being the best point guard ever, so I take him. Wade is too dependent on athleticism, Kobe is a poseur, LeBron would leave…. yeah, I take CP.

Bayless with the "off" night
had 7 assists and 1 turnover….. for a guy who “can’t pass” and “makes poor decisions with the basketball”
14-1 asst/to ratio the last two games
He made a few poor choices
On taking Andersen head on.
But his dunk was key. His dunk opened up those two Roy 3s.
"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely
the blocks will happen
after all… he does attack the rim a LOT
I am more concerned with him settling for 20 foot jump shots too much (6-7 of his misses were Js). I attended every game he played in college live and a lot of his high school games and that is when he’s off his game… when he settles and isn’t hungry for contact at the rim.
That was the best we've played all year
We just beat a good team that was playing awfully well.
And what can I say about #7, my man, our hero.

I'd like to take this second to give thanks for Kevin Pritchard
Who built a team so deep that their talent is overcoming some devastating injuries.
And for scouting the draft so well, we get folks like Pendergraph in the second round, already contributing within days of getting off the injured list.
Pendergraph was a robot in summer league. I am incredibly impressed with his improved fluidity.
He also held onto Bayless when public opinion was pretty low.

He wasn't going to give up Bayless. No way, no how.
He only gave up Sergio when he realized the situation was untenable. Even if the team was intact and Bayless was grumbling on the bench, he’d still be here.
When did public opinion turn on Bayless btw? He’s been beloved since day 1.
I would disagree with you there. There was a huge portion of the site who wanted to trade Bayless. Team Bayless was very small after summer league.

But your comment about him being better than Melo makes up for that a bit. :)
I just don’t feel the need to say what is obvious. Bayless is showing himself to be a lesser version of Roy htat defends point guards, so I’m noting his development in that area.

Denver was clearly told to double Bayless to prevent penetration.
I’m absolutely thrilled that we figured out how to break that during this game, instead of afterward.
that’s the beauty of it. We put Bayless in the Roy-role, forcing the traps that teams attack our pick and roll with. Then Bayless jumps really high and passes to the big man who distributes to Roy, who has the weakened defense to attack.
Now we need to get all our guys play together. That means Oden.

just didn’t get the ball enough tonight but his energyn levels was good.
can't leave aldridge out
with greg and joel down he needed to focus on defensive reboudning and he did. i think his defensive boards in the 2nd half were a key turning point in the game.
When they closed down one option
Another opened up for this team tonight. We need to do that, every day.

McMillan needs to start getting way more love from the BEdge faithful. If folks want to assail his in-game tactics and subbing patterns, it’s clear that this team comes in to every game with a PLAN and they set about executing it. Only a few teams really do that (my short list, Boston, LA, Houston). How many coaches could have possible done better? Even Phil Jackson and Larry Brown would have quit on this team yet it’s a question no one even thinks to ask the Blazers because it’s inconceivable that the team would quit.
M, period. Fresh, comma.
The Nuggets have the most arrogant punks in the NBA
but they got carved up like some jive turkeys tonight.
OMG I just jizzed in my France
The meaning of team...
is showing with these guys. The way they move on offense with little or no hesitation is refreshing. Without all the studs trying to prove themselves with limited minutes, we have 8/9 cohesive guys without any preconceived idea of how this team ‘should’ fit together. These guys are creating on the run, and the flow is really enjoyable to watch. This group of energetic Blazers are playing heart and with a sense that every moment counts. These guys are growing up as a team. That is about as much as we can ask for as Blazer fans during this holiday season.
Longest current winning streak in the NBA
Something else to celebrate.
