I just read all of the post on Spurstalk.com It's very interesting hearing the perspective of the fans of another team.
Posters started out brimming with confidence that the Spurs would easily defeat the short handed Blazers. Confidence soared even higher as word came out that Roy wouldn't be playing.
Things started to get ugly as the game went on. Spurs fans wrote in shock about how well the Blazers (especially Bayless and Howard) were playing. Shock turned to increasing anger toward the refs. , the Spurs, and Popovich, in particular.
Interestingly, many posts were actually very positive about the Blazers and how much heart they were playing with in light of all of the injuries the team has had.
Toward the end of the game, most posts simply complained about how lousy the Spurs are against +.500 hundred teams, ripped Manu and Parker, and even said the the Spurs' time has passed because the league is too fast and long for the way the Spurs were designed to play.
There was a brief, half hearted glow of hope when the Spurs pulled close at the end, then resignation that the Blazers had done what Spurs fans was impossible-beat them!
One thing that really jumps out at you when you read the Spurs forum is just how much swearing many posters do. So much different than Blazersedge!
