Open Thread on San Antonio Express-News During Wednesday's Game
Very interesting to read the live game thread on the San Antonio Express-News site during Portland's win on Wednesday. It goes from acknowledging all of the Blazer injuries before the game, to "they're not playing Roy, this is going to be a feel-good win," to what the heck is happening, let's blow up this team?!
Two lessons I was reminded of are 1) we are not the only fans who have micro freak-outs while watching our team as closely as most of us (and apparently S.A. fans) do, and 2) we just need to hang in there optimistically with whomever we have left.
Also, Bayless and Juwan are bringing some contagious emotion on a nightly basis that I haven't seen all year.
This win showed a lot of heart and looked like fun for everyone playing - none of them have a thing to lose.

Except for that SA SHOULD blow it up and start over.
Save a guy or two. Tony Parker…?
Or just count on getting a bad Duncan injury and tank the season to grab another #1 big man…
In Bayless I trust.

They should blow it up and...
trade Duncan and Hill to us for Miller and the ghosts of RLEC and Miles. If the Blazers won’t bite, SA should throw in Blair as a sweetener. Their #1 picks for the next two seasons would be acceptable as well.

As Butch and Sundance once said
“Who are these guys?”
Tonight the Spurs found out how it felt to be stuck inside the Alamo
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
I am so glad to see them go down!
I have hated the Spurs for YEARS!!!!! They get every call down the stretch, and they whine!!! Lordy, do they whine!
It’s going to be good to see them go down for several years to come! A player like Duncan comes along about once a generation.
And then they bellyached about Mike & Mike’s whining about the bad calls.
mike & mike are completely biased, but they were right about those call tonight. It was very hard to see it any other way than hometown officiating.
Romance me with that Roy rainbow shot which took flight from way beyond the arc and sailed so high that before it came back down to earth sealing the victory, it kissed the rafters and said "You're mine baby."
Correction, this was not the place where they whined about mike & mike unless I missed it, my bad.
this actually was not too bad of a read from a Spurs game thread.
