K-Love would be sick...

but I don’t think it would happen. Gotta love the guy for his hard work and professionalism.

Resurrect the front office career of Kevin McHale

Without the epically bad judgement of McHale, there’s no way the Wolves give up K-Love for anything less than the second coming of Wilt Chamberlain. He’s the key to their future and the only person putting even a few people in the seats at Target Center.

Pipe Dreams and this season

Now that we are down to B Roy, LMA, Miller, Blake, and some D-leaguers, the amount of “lets trade for player X” posts have tripled here on BE.

The main problem I have is that what does Marcus Camby, K Love, Birdman, Ilgauskas, Gortat, etc. mean for this season? Certainly not a championship, and probably not even a first round win. And then when the season is over, we have an awkward roster.

And not to down on this post, but of all the big men that are potentially available, young fantastic players with small salaries are usually not the type that franchises let got (i.e Kevin Love)

We could maybe pry away Gortat but Orlando would probably want quite a bit in return.

I say we roll with what we have. Let B Roy and LMA get their stats, see what Miller can REALLY give us, and play the heck out of all our rookies. I would be satisfied seeing what Bayless, Pendergraph, and Cunningham can give us with extended minutes

Of course K Love would be great for the future.....

But he would fall under the “pipe dream” label. As in, we dont get him for anything we are willing to part with.

Any combo of Webster, Blake, Miller, Howard, and the rookies is not getting us a player like Love, Boozer, Gasol (Marc), A Randolph, or any other young stud. Its just not realistic.

The most attractive trade bait we have is Bayless, and I just dont think getting rid of him for a big man would be a good move considering we have so many coming back next year. If Oden goes down again (please God NO!), then we might have to explore that possibility. But not this year.

Love plays the same position as LMA

Sure, the two of them could play together, but neither are great post defenders and that’s what Portland needs now and in the future…

I’d rather have Nathan Jawai off the Wolve’s roster, at this point in time…KP needs to find a guy like that

When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
