A Couple of Trades
I took a look at the ESPN NBA Trade Machine for a couple of simple, low cost, low impact trades that could still provide some help at the 5. What do you think?
Juwan Howard - $825,497 to the Timberwolves for Nathan Jawai - $736,420. Its just a 1 year contract and he's beefy.
Juwan Howard to the Heat for Jamaal Magloire - $825,497.
Travis Outlaw - $3,600,000 to the 76ers for Mareese Speights - $1,658,280 and Jason Smith - $1,418,880
Juwan Howard to the Raptors for Rasho Nesterovic - $1,990,000. One year contract, good way to use up some fouls.

Juwan Howard is our best player!
why are you trying to trade him?

He's just proposing that we trade him
before he bolts Portland as part of the huge payday that the next free agent class will be. I don’t think we will be able to match those max contract offers he will be getting.
I doubt Kahn would do it
but it never hurts to ask

I dont see him doing it either
Juwai played suprisingly well the games ive seen him play
Portland could coast along with their superior talent and stay right with us. Now that Portland woke up, the hammer cometh down.

We don't have any healthy players to trade.
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.
With all due respect, this is certifiable crazy talk.
Batum should be the least tradable player on our roster after the big three.
Trade Trout if you want, or Blake, or even Miller, but keep your mitts off our best perimeter defender.

Agreed, no way we trade our best perimeter defender
Unless we get one in return. But none of them out there are as young and handsome as Batum.
There's no way Philadelphia does that 3rd deal
They’d want a lot more than Outlaw in order to trade him.
I agree
they value Speights above Brand, I think.
I understand you want to trade for another big
but trading Howard for another big doesn’t make sense, even after that trade this team will still need another big.
The only trade I see happening is either a long term trade, which could mean another small forward or a back up 4, while sending out Outlaw and Blake. Or a short term rental of a big who has an expiring deal, make Blake for a big like Foster or something. Beyond that, I just don’t see it happening.

Juwan Howard has been the surprised this year in my opinion. He can hit the jump shot when needed and provide decent defense. We got lucky that he can still provide and shouldn’t just trade him for some other player that will do less.

Yup. If we do make a trade, I think we'll include the players we would have included at some point anyway
Anything else would be desperation for a first-second round exit and poor investment.
i hope everybody know you can't trade injured players for heathly ones

you can, if both parties agree
an injured Outlaw still has value as an expiring contract…but certainly his trade value would be higher when he’s healthy again.
Miller, Blake and Outlaw are KP’s best trade chips, at this time. I assume he won’t deal Steve and Andre, no matter how bleak things might be. But a package of Travis + either PG is still worth something decent…especially if the other team needs an experienced veteran PG asap

Hoo boo...

1. Why would they and why should we?
2. You’re kidding, right?
3. They’re not dumping Speights for an expiring contract…
4. Another WHY?

If Speights is on the trading block
The Sixers will receive offers better than that.
Could the Blazers sign one of the players that haven’t officially retired and trade them for, say, Elton Brand?
