I see Batum as the starter, but a 22 year old who can give you 15-25 mpg at the 3 (and maybe some spot 2) is a great piece to have.

I like Zach, and I defended him when he was on this team, but let’s not act like this is some brand new version of Zach Randolph that makes his team a winner.

Also, we’re getting a little late in the season for LMA to use the “slow-starting” excuse. I suspect he’ll pick it up, but underachieving for the first 30 games isn’t acceptable.

The only thing LMA has underachieved in the first 30 games is his FGA and MPG. And that can be attributed to Oden’s emergence. LMA has been right up there in his normal numbers in FGA and PPG and above since Greg went down. Everything else is better or exactly up to his normal numbers.

if you build around Greg, you have a chance to win a title. Gasol is just another nice center who won’t be a defining, top-10 talent.
