Gameday Open Thread: Blazers vs. Heat--Pre-Game Edition
An early start today, so an early start to the conversation as well. Discuss the Blazers' chances in the hour leading up to the game and then join us for the chat during the proceedings. Good luck all!

I was born in '52, and I believe in #52. Hang in there, GO.
I know this is the impossible dream, but...
…it would also be nice if Martell could hit a shot or two on the road. Maybe someone should give Martell a mix tape of the horrible “music” they blast at the Rose Garden. After listening to it in the locker room, Martell would feel more at home, and his 3-pointers (not to mention free throws) would start to drop.
Hey, it could happen…

Early games are weird. I guess it's a lot better than living on the East coast having to stay up really late for west coast games.
Oden fan for life
That was the best part of the East coast I thought
Everyone goes to bed, time for just me and my Blazers!

True. I enjoy recording the games and watching them by myself on non-workdays.

I do that too
Middle of the night – nobody to hear the stress!
"I could almost fall asleep when he's got the ball," Demopoulos said of Roy. "That's how comfortable I feel with him. He always comes through."
much better, I like early games like this better than staying up till 1am.
TNT games are brutal, late starts means really late finish..

And TNT is the worst
On TV timeouts. They are at least 60 seocnds longer than ESPN’s and about double normal.

The OT game against Houston lat year
Beetter known as the Roy miracle game, didn’t end until about 11 PM local.

yeah, I was up. But that kind of a win makes it all worth it.
It’s the losses that then make it so hard to go to sleep.
So if they could only win everyone of those late games, I could be okay with staying up for them.

Recovery day to split in Florida
LMA will need to be huge
"I could almost fall asleep when he's got the ball," Demopoulos said of Roy. "That's how comfortable I feel with him. He always comes through."
LMA should be very fresh after his peformance yesterday...

He seems to be hurting the last two games
"I could almost fall asleep when he's got the ball," Demopoulos said of Roy. "That's how comfortable I feel with him. He always comes through."
Come on Blazers
Pick me up. My Fantasy team is getting worked. All my opponents are having career days (2-weeks finals but I’m done if I don’t get about 30 points this afternoon).

continuing the trend of Memphis looking like a playoff team the last few weeks...
and Denver looking like a team that will get the 2nd or 3rd seed but not instill any fear in the Lakers whatsoever.

Memphis has the talent to be a playoff team
They just don’t play together often enough.

Crazy.
Memphis is really playing well. I turned them on the other night and was amazed to see good ball movement and unselfish play.
OJ Mayo didn’t look much like a ball hog and Z-Bo was trying hard. Who would have thunk it?

All those former Blazers coaching that team
All 3 of them (Stoudamire, Davis and Hollins) must be the reason.

This is the least offensive opening credits of the season
I like that they stayed faithful to the original tune, and I like the graphics.
Your refs tonight
