Brandon's yelps with poll
I have watched Brandon his whole career and have loved what I have seen. His rookie year he came out and surprised everyone with his ability to get into the lane and finish amongst the trees. His second year was even better and we all had the chance to see a budding star. He again attacked the rim and added a nice mid-range game and was rewarded with an All-Star appearance. His third year was even better and all of our jaws dropped when he hit that three from mid-court to win the game verse the Rockets. Yet that was the year when he became a "star" in his own mind and started whining for calls. You wouldn't hear rookie Roy drive to the hoop and give a preemptive yelp like you heard from third year Roy and hear from present Roy. I almost want to mute the game when he drives. His screech haunts my nightmares. Lebron, Kobe, Wade are all legit stars, Roy is not close, especially this year. He demands respect, but I feel the refs are loosing some for him because he expects a call every time he drives to the rim. I saw a couple missed fouls last night, but I am beginning to think that if he would stop crying out then he would receive the call. I am a believer in the team and Roy, but I can't stand whiners and Roy is becoming the cream of the crop even though he still needs to establish himself as the star he thinks he is. To Brandon: Your not one of top three guys so revert back to the days when you would just play balls to the wall. Stop yelping!!!

Wow.
I was going to post the exact same thing today. Refs are not giving Brandon the Roy-yell (Royyell?) treatment. You sound like a ninny BRoy. Just play the game.

Gotta get your game up to par
Before you can convince the refs of anything, Brandon.
*Unless KP has a secret plan that makes this statement incorrect.

^ get up slowly, yell at ref as his man runs down & makes a lay up.
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

While I dislike the loitering afterwards...
…I have always enjoyed Roy’s “I’m taking a beating” bleating. Further, like Jordan’s outstretched tongue, I’m not sure that he has complete control over the “Heeeeeeaaaaay!” (Don’t the most powerful bleats simply arrive, unsummoned?)
He didn't yell his rookie season. I think he consciously created it to get calls.

he did, after his coaches told him he needed to do so.
'Cuse 88-Cornell 73. My Big Red failed to beat the spread by 2 points. Hence the new avatar.
Yep, he said that on KJR last year.
BTW, Dre does it too
WOW !!
I guess it’s pile on BRoy. Now that we have lost three in a row, the
fairweather fans are UNHAPPY !!!
I guess being a 35 + year Blazermaniac gives me some perspective,
so I’ll issue my usual comment – PATIENCE !!!
It’s a marathon, not a sprint !!!
COINCAST SUCKS !!!!!!
It's GO time !
shriek!
he sounds like a prepubescent dinosaur!!

Last night he took a jumper
And the defender wasn’t even close to him and he did it. Very K*besque.
Every time K# be drives to the hoop or takes a jumper I find myself screaming just in case he doesnt and follow that with a WAHHH WAAHH. Its pavlovian. Now I find myself doing the same with Roy. Havent had so much fun watching sports since Monica Selles stopped playing tennis.
If it helps him get more calls
then he should continue doing it. And teach it to Oden.
...and that's a good thing
Oops, misfire
I meant to say, “It would help if Brandon were a baritone. That yelp comes out sounding so wimpy and desperate.”
