I think the Blazers should have offered me a $12 million dollar guaranteed contract.
And then traded me and filler for LeBron James.

I love David Lee.
Something about him I can just really relate to. He’s such a hard worker, has an amazing IQ, great teammate, locker-room presence, some other white guy cliche, etc, etc, etc….
I don’t know if he’s better than Aldridge, but he’s definitely shorter.

Then you have a big rotation of Lee, LMA and Oden… with Lee splitting time at the 4 and 5 and Pryzbilla thus dispensable.
neither LMA or Lee are "centers"
unless you’re talking about a “small” lineup that wouldn’t rebound (or defend the paint) well enough to win a playoff series

I’m pretty sure we verbally offered him but limited him to a day to get back to us because we didn’t want to lose out on other prospects.

… Lee thanked Portland for their interest, but declined on the grounds Portland couldn’t promise starter level minutes.
It was the smart business move for him. He knew that his chances of getting a better deal will increase next year and by staying with a Knicks team where he would get the minutes to generate good numbers, he greatly improves his odds at a better dollar amount next year. He would not have had good numbers playing with Portland. Look at how people here are knocking Roy because he doesn’t have “all-star” numbers.

David Lee? Haha. Why do good players on really bad teams get so much hype? They get good stats on horrible teams.
Some guy was saying Rudy was trash at a preseason game, and we should have traded him for David Lee. Haha yeah right. This was a game Rudy had like 11 assists by the way.
Calm waters. Stop with the knee jerk reactions before you hurt someone.
Just wait until the off season
When everyone loses out on Bosh, Wade and LeBron someone is going to pay Lee twice as much as the Blazers could have paid him.
