Noticed this about LaMarcus Aldridge. You don't need to click it really; it basically just says he only scored 3 points.

I don't get how a guy who plays in 31 minutes, and just signed a 5 year extension, can play so poorly sometimes and so brilliantly other times. I understand he got matched up against Dwight Howard quite a bit, but that's still not a good enough excuse to only score 3 points and grab ONE rebound.

I just don't get it. I really hope he can figure things out and stay consistent, though. Because if he can, he can put up all-star numbers and do some great things for this team.

But 3 points, 1 board, in 31 minutes?! Come on, man!

LMA should be able to score all over Howard.

He is too small and quick, and can shoot outside.

Of course, the opposite is also true.

The rebounds are the only thing that really bothers me.

In Bayless I trust.

In his defense he tipped quite a few rebounds away from Dwight and knocked a couple out of his hands.

Aldridge isn’t small and quick compared to Dwight though. In a straight on sprint sure Aldridge can beat him but hes not quick enough to just get by Dwight whenever he pleases.

It was just one of those nights for Aldridge along with others.

LMA should be able to get his favorite fade away jumper on Howard all day long.

He had a Charmin day out there. I think Dwight scared the crap out of him.

He started doing his little jump away from player w ball while sticking arm out defense that he used to do every play. Watching him D up Dwight looked nothing like what Joel was doing.

Land Rondo.

"He needs to realize that he can't stop every shot, especially from a smaller and offensively potent player. Get your hands up, make him shoot it over you, but let him shoot every once in a while. They score a little but you stay in the game a lot. And when you stay in the game...smashy smashy!" Dave on Greg Oden

Quite frankly its sick that we finaly get a couple big bodies on the bench and we play

super small ball. Re watching the game tonight LMA may not have got rebounds but he tipped 3 early to others, also no one got him the ball early like normal first pass for a shot at 7.22 in the first, by the way 4 tips to others. Only 1 shot attempt first half of the 1st.

A little person

It should be by stats only. I don’t care if LA didn’t get thrown the ball once or if he tipped 20 passes to his teammates, if his stats suck, he’s getting punched.

He would be a good backup banger

I’m fed up with this stupid posting on the Internet about how bad someone is. What’s the good in that?

It’s time for some of these fans to step up to the plate and do what’s needed to make sure these guys don’t have bad games anymore.

Do you want to complain, or do you want to actually help the team? A well-placed punch here and there will really have an impact, let me tell you.

Wasn't there some sort of hoop game in the lands now known as Mexico

where they played a hoop game in which the loosing team got executed or sacrificed or something? That would certainly get these guys to bring it EVERY night. There certainly would be less room for pent up frustrations and complaining.

True

Perhaps less flopping as well. But then again, I think we’re better than that.

Am I the only one that

saw Orlando Double LMA every time he touched the ball, even on the outside? It was like VanGundy told his team to skunk LMA, like most coaches do to Roy. LMA will not shoot over a double team, he will pass everytime, and if the rest of the team isn’t hitting shots, then it works. Hell Howard would double LMA before he even got the ball, completely leaving Joel. They didn’t respect Joel at all, just one more reason we need Greg back, with him in there Howard has to stay with him and can not double LMA so easily.

LMA did not have that bad a game if you watched, it instead of just looked at stats.

The stat’s don’t count the 5 tips that he gave to others! They also do not count that he was not even passed to in the first half until 722 left in the quarter, so to have watched this game no scores if you aren’t passed the ball, can not rebound if surrounded by Magic players so he tipped the ball to one of our players while 3 Magic surrounded him . He was worked very hard and did great for most of his time out there the real problem was the lack of anyone else over 6’6’’ tall out there for Portland.

God you guys make a lot of excuses for this guy lol

Fact of the matter is that he signed a big deal and got worse. And he remains soft.

Why don't folks post his stats when he does good?

SMH in disgust.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
