Should the NBA raise the rim to accomodate for bigger, more athletic players?

3" is weak...

I would raise it to 20 feet and require players to play on 8 foot tall stilts.

On a serious note.,,

seems kind of pointless to me. It is just 3 inches. Seems like if they are going to go to the trouble they should just make it a foot. I wonder how it would effect the shooters?

I wonder if shorter basketball players could sue for height discrimination?

Raising the hoop would be an upgrade for the Blazers.

Our larger team (the one that we have when we aren’t so badly injured) is full of shooters (something KP has targeted). These guys should have the height & the form to make adjusting pretty easy over the summer.

It would totally screw up Bayless, though. Roy might have to be our new PG.

In Bayless I trust.

guys would have to change their shots.

the freak athletes could still dunk. This would be a bad idea.

Well I already can't dunk.

Now I won’t be able to dunk even more.

Like what you like, enjoy what you enjoy,
don't be afraid to make slurping sounds,
and don't take crap from anybody

Team Edward or Team Jacob? ...neither..Team BAYLESS!!

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
