What a great feeling this morning

Man o man i wish i could box up the feelings from this morning after such a great win.  Then i could sprinkle some of this around after the tough nights ahead.

This season has brought us so much emotionally this year , but last night brought us a whole bundle of hope.  Grant it the Suns are off to a susceptible hot start be we can see the defensive holes that will keep them eventually out of the top 5 spots in the playoffs.

WE didn't get every call, Brandon on LMA were not killing it (Roy was nice during the 4th), phoenix's stars were hot, there role guys hit big shots, but the last 5 minutes of that game the Blazers were in control, level headed and playing fearlessly. Fearless play gets you to the line where you finish teams off, and they have to stand there helplessly as you drain free throw after free throw.  They can't stop you or that overwhelming feeling that B Roy and J Bay are going to keep going right by them the rest of the night.

The Blazers of 2009/10 resembled those 54 win blazers from last year for the first time this season and that was great to see.

My hand hurts from so many Hi fives last night.. great plays and love for a team sure make for great feelings in the morning.

This was our first signature win of the year

And I truly hope, like you, that it represents how hard we go after every game.

B-Roy plus B-Rex equals happiness for one day and hope for the future

When Bayless has to be respected from the outside his game moves to a new level. Last night was an Oden sized peek at what the future could look like.

Is there any chance that Bayless could play in the Rookie game?

shouldn't have had to come from behind either game

And would have led wire-to-wire with Batum/Oden. it does, however, portend good things for the rest of this year and next.

I am very happy with the win and with Bayless’ emergence.

maybe so

But with a healthy Oden and Batum this year they’d be one of the best defensive teams in the league. Oh well, if they keep playing Bayless they’ll scrap out a lot of wins like this, and a win is a win!

The team won the fans back.

I’m not suggesting the fans had given up on the Blazers, but games this year with the exception of Houston and Denver have been relatively quiet. When the team went cold, the fans grumbled, sulked, and occasionally shouted out colorful comments to release their anxiety. Last night, whenever Phoenix started a run, the diehard fans in Section 314 and 315 started a chant, and the rest of the arena followed (OK, not every time but much more often than usual). That’s what needs to happen every home game.

Jerryd’s confidence was inspiring. Brandon trusting Jerryd was inspiring. 20,500 people standing and screaming for the last 4 minutes of the game was awe-inspiring. There really is nothing like being a Blazer fan.

I think a lot of us have gotten back to daydreaming of what BROY and BREX

would look like after Jerryd’s summer league performence. It makes sense and he is sitting there.

I don’t mind Jerryd not starting this year. He needs to develop his ball handling, which has been improving. A great way to do it is having another primary ball handler while easing Bayless into that mode. I am starting to remember why I thought the kid was special.

He has other obstacles to overcome. He hasnt been scouted and will have to adjust, but even then if the defense has to adjust to him it still opens up the game for the others.

Back to Bayless/Roy/Batum/LMA/Oden(recouped, rebuilt, stronger) 2012 championship thoughts….now as Blazer fans we just need to hope the world does not blow up :) Oh and the NBA/reffing somehow becomes legit.

Land Rondo.

"He needs to realize that he can't stop every shot, especially from a smaller and offensively potent player. Get your hands up, make him shoot it over you, but let him shoot every once in a while. They score a little but you stay in the game a lot. And when you stay in the game...smashy smashy!" Dave on Greg Oden

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
