Good Ol' Trevor Ariza....
Once again, we see his true colors (or colours since this is in Toronto?) with his team being blown out....flashbacks anyone?

Heres an interesting thing to watch, Devin Harris committed like the same exact foul Ariza made to Rudy last year (Harris Foul – http://tinyurl.com/yexromq Ariza Foul – http://tinyurl.com/y9x3luz).
If Devin Harris gets suspended one game then it will be complete BS. We will see.

Ariza, Scola, Brooks...
those are some scrappy scrappers.
I have always felt that Trever's foul on Rudy deserved a lot more punishment.
I remember a number of people defending Ariza as not being a dirty player. Throwing a roundhouse elbow at the back of somebody’s head like that may say that giving him the benefit of the doubt on the Rudy “foul” may be a bit too touchy feely.

My thing about it is: his team was being dominated that night. They were down 28 points at the time.
Ariza was frustrated, just as he was on the DeRozan play, and this is how he lashed out. He might have technically been going for the ball, but the play was still appalling judgment and sportsmanship.
Hit it. Yes he did. Ohhhh yeah.

Much like how Ariza's team was being dominated when he took out Rudy.

That was actually what I was referring to. But your point is still valid.

I understand that players are going to get hurt due to the intensity of the game, but
When players get hurt as the result of reckless or careless play I believe that there need to be some serious consequences. When one player’s stupidity causes another player to miss the rest of a season for instance, it would be appropriate for the offending player to miss games day for day with the player they “took out.” That would pretty much eliminate dirty plays like what Ariza did to Rudy. In that case he would really have to be a fool to try it.

I guess that means Ariza would also be out 4-8 weeks right now...
if Rudy and his agent are to be believed.

He should be.
In Bayless I trust.

Had he connected, he could have done some serious damage.
Didn’t like him before… Nothing has changed.

Meh,
That’s nothing compared to the elbow Brooks (who is a tool, no wonder Kent loved him) threw in college…
