for this year? probably
medium to long term? depends on what they do this offseason
How did you guys win that?

Tough to compare.
They’d have to have Thabo Sefolosha, Jeff Green, Nenad Krstic, and James Harden and then play a season and see how they compare.

have to take them out of the roster, THEN compare*
…is what I meant to say.
"Ain't nothin' in this world for free."
this year, no question
they have nearly an identical record despite playing a more difficult schedule. they also are in a much better financial situation than the blazers and aren’t having any chemistry issues.
things change quickly though.
well, our active team is worse
bayless leaves over my dead body
Start Bayless (in a 2 guard lineup)
if you should strike Oden down he will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine

Can someone give a rational explanation of why blake plays 36 minutes a game?
take 4 or 5 of their key guys off the roster
and which team is better?

Without Oden, Batum, Outlaw, Rudy ...
Yes. They have passed us up. With all our key players healthy and active, we win 4 out of 5 games against them every time.

They are playing well and the Blazers are injured and in disarray
however, OKC needs to put up for a whole season first.
You won.

Now, yes. Down the road? Probably.
Given all our injuries and discord, they’re ahead of us right now.
The future is less clear. They still have cap room, but a glaring hole in the middle and not a lot of depth. If Oden pans out, I think we’re clearly better. If not, they probably are.
They are definitely better than we are right now.
They’re having their “early success” right now. They are playing better than most would expect. Next year they will go through what we are going through. How do you sustain that success? How do you play with a target on your back? Can the roster just “grow” or does the personnel need to change and improve? Hopefully they can learn all that next season without having to experience the injuries that we have.
Hopefully they're the bottom feeders of the league for the foreseeable future.
That’s the organization that weaseled its way out of Seattle. Team stealing ruins sports and that was a good rivalry. Nothing against the fans in OKC or the players, but I wish financial ruin upon Clay Bennett.
Keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed.
you guys...
still have playoff experience, OKC’s players have never even sniffed the playoffs. That couts for something. A good question might be: “Would you trade these teams straight up?” As an OKC fan I would keep the Thunder guys, but I’m bias.
Portland is having
some tough luck this year with injuries, but they have some great players.
Of course, I’ll take my Thunder.
