Roy is in 9th Place in All-Star Votes
http://www.nba.com/2009/news/12/10/allstar.vote.update.1/index.html
I cant believe I have to write this. Tracy McGrady is in 2nd place in West Guard Voting!? I didn't think he even played this season. I know I've voted many times for our blazers, but am I the only one? How can a guy who hasn't played a game in how long, have 175,000 more votes then Roy? Unless something turns around, our guy won't even be on the bench behind Kobe this year. Just another bit of dissapointing news this season.
*Also Aldridge is dead last in forward votes.

notice that greg has 73 thousand votes
in the east centers, that would put him in 3rd behind dwight and shaq.
Skadoosh
keep voting every day edgers.....
cuz if it wern’t for us/you he’d be a solid 18th the way he’s been playing lately.

Head Czar of Amerika <--- Mortimer said so so there!!!
21/5/5 on 46% shooting with a good Assist/TO ratio is still all-star quality.
I think people are being way too hard on Roy this year for a slight drop in stats. Brandon will hit his groove and especially now that he’s going to have to shoulder the load again.

Not too surprising.
Tracy’s votes benefit from playing with Yao and the fact he’s been extremely overrated by fans because he can dunk a basketball. He obviously doesn’t deserve to be an all-star, but to be honest I wouldn’t say Roy deserves to be on the team either so far this year. Same goes for Aldridge.
McGrady hasn't even played this season and..
His own team doesn’t even want him to play, but he’s getting voted into the All-Star game. That itself is insane. Forget about Roy.

It's all China, plain and simple...
Aaron Brooks is ahead of Roy and Deron Williams.
There ya go.

Easiest way to get LA and Roy voted in as startes: trade for Li Jianlian!
I always wondered why in the NBA, they list Asian players’ family name first, as it is done in East Asia. But in the MLB, it’s listed American/European way of family name last. This is America..just call the guy Ming Yao.
52 + 88 = 140% better team.
not shocking
Neither have exactly set the league on fire so far this season

Bench isn't done by votes
Roy will be there.
The NBA will likely fudge the votes again, like they did last year to put Chris Paul past McGrady (except this time to push Nash past McGrady).
I agree - it is the coaches who vote for the bench players
And the Commissioner who picks replacements. Votes are considered by the Commissioner so they still help.
"I could almost fall asleep when he's got the ball," Demopoulos said of Roy. "That's how comfortable I feel with him. He always comes through."
He could help if he could deliver a monster game tomorrow
Against LeBron and co. Unlikely that we win I know but the pressure is all on the Cavs.
"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely
Once Greg got injured I quit voting
our players are already getting heavy minutes they need the break to heal themselves.
Draft Cole Aldrich 2010
The Yao Effect
All the Rockets get WAY more votes than they should because China votes for all Yao’s teammates. Aaron Brooks is ahead of Roy too.
Roy, Aldridge, Oden, Rudy, Batum, Outlaw, Webster, Bayless, Blake, Miller, Joel... Holy crap!
You know
It would be a good idea to put up a link where we can actually VOTE! No point in complaining if you aren’t going help the cause.

I agree
Unless an authentic game ticket stub is the official ballot. It’s right up there with the BCS in favoritism that borders on absurd. Like, why is T-Mac even on the ballot? He hasn’t played like an All-Star for what, 5 years?
Since it is called the "National Basketball Association", why is it that anyone outside of North America should be able to vote?
"She turned me into a newt!
A newt?
...I got better."
Because I pay for league pass and tickets, too ;)
But I think votes from abroad really carry less weight. Especially for China they have introduced something like a 4 to 1 or 6 to 1 split.
China keeps America afloat, financially - so let em own the all-star balloting.

Treat people well because Karma can hit you at any second.
Brandon is sneaking up on Sergio Rodriguez
in PER rating. I find myself hoping that the Spaniard can keep his lead over Brandon “I just need to have the ball in my hands more” Roy.

This is tough
because the All-star game is just for fun and should be about the fans…but really, this is getting ridiculous. Something tells me the NBA intentionally left Yi off the ballot in order to prevent China from making him a starter as well. I am on the fence about this…part of me thinks yes, fans should be able to pick, but the other part of me thinks no way in hell for reasons like these. Maybe we could just become more “American” about it and restrict other countries from voting?!? haha
I agree fan voting is stupid, but Brandon hasn't really played consistently to an All Star level either
and LMA is right where he should be
Also realize that these votes swing mightily throughout the process
Blazer Fan
Let's be real
even if the coaches voted him in this year, what has Roy done that is so great to be an all-star this year? In years past he has been amazing. This year I would say mediocre starting scoring guard. Is it the new shoes? Greg? Andre?
I’m sorry to say, cuz I hate Kobe, but he’s got new shoes, Shannon Brown and 4 trees to deal with. He still comes out and balls. So, reality check to you BRoy— this year, so far you are not an all-star.
Land Rondo.
"He needs to realize that he can't stop every shot, especially from a smaller and offensively potent player. Get your hands up, make him shoot it over you, but let him shoot every once in a while. They score a little but you stay in the game a lot. And when you stay in the game...smashy smashy!" Dave on Greg Oden
Someone should tell Aldridge he's dead last in votes...
The guy thinks he should be an all star, maybe he should start playing like one. – 2 rebounds against the Cavs? Its just you and Joel out there big guy, 2 wont cut it. And how about playing some defence. Anderson Varajo looked fantastic against him, kind of like all the forwards that play us.
It's Brandon Roy's world and we're only renting space We don’t like him—we’re only on his side so he doesn’t dunk on us in front of our co-workers, wives, girlfriends, mistresses and children.
-Correction It’s B Rex’s world and Brandon’s just keeping it warm until The Coming

pfft. No kidding
how many times did he left Verjao slip by him into the lane for an easy two? He played like a lot of these little things dont matter. The Blazers lost by 5, right? It’s starting to look like BRoy and LMA were what they were on effort. Without that, could be struggle to remain average :(
I hope the story is fleeting, but sorry guys, this wack play does coincide perfectly with phat contract extensions. It’s up to them to make a divide.

Rocket Fan here
I can see the Tmac situation being a tough pill to swallom and I have 2 comments:
1.) Tmac said in his blog he is humbled, but wont play unless he thinks he is playing on an allstar level.
2.) This is an exhibition game and people vote on who they want to see play. If fans want to see Tracy play, that is thier right.
