durant on oden
"Once I heard he was having surgery, to be honest with you I almost drew a tear for him," said Durant, who became the no-brainer No. 2 pick behind Oden in one of the most highly-debated decisions in the draft’s history.
"It’s unfair to him because people don’t know how hard he works every day," Durant said.

greg looks so young!
what is he in this pic? 27?
Durant is a good kid
To me, from a basketball perspective, Greg was the obvious pick, but from a character/culture standpoint, I think either would have been great.

The thing that makes me mad is
when people all of a sudden come out of the woodwork and announce “I said the Blazers should have taken Durant. It was me” Wow, we’re all so impressed with you amazingness. Sounds good on the internet, but in real life there wasn’t a lot of debate. Every team was taking Oden. Sports radio and sports writers made up this mysterious “debate” when there wasn’t really one. Oden was the guy. There was like 0.1% chance of Blazers taking Durant., and maybe a little bit higher if Orlando or Houston got the pick(don’t think either was in the lottery anyway) So Blazers didn’t “mess up”. Blazers were unlucky. Oden is unlucky. And Durant can ball. Period.
Roy, Aldridge, Oden, Rudy, Batum, Outlaw, Webster, Bayless, Blake, Miller, Joel... Holy crap!
