Chat about the lead-up to the game right here. Do the Timberwolves have a chance? Can Al Jefferson uncork a big night? Most importantly, do three guards trump four forwards?

I'm hoping the big question around the 4th quarter wil be
How much PT Dante Cunningham gets.
Be nice to see him play.
"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely
I kind of did too
I turned to my friend at the RG late in the 3rd and said, “Will we have a Dantetastic 4th?” to which he laughed.
My bad.

Josh McRoberts
Dante’s got a lot more “staying power” than McBob. But Josh got guaranteed money so he’s still in the NBA. It helps to be Greg’s friend, from Indy

NOpe
He’s a 2nd rounder, he doesn’t get guaranteed $.
"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely
I could have sworn they gave him some guaranteed cash
even though he was 2nd round.
The way the deals work
Is they get guaranteed money if they are on the roster until a certain date I believe.
"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely
Cunningham is guaranteed 762,195 next year
Pendergraph’s deal is only guaranteed this year. Check it out

most 2nd rounders don't get guaranteed money
DeJuan Blair got twice as much money as Cunningham and was picked 6 slots later…he’s guaranteed 910k from the Spurs next year, as well
RC Buford FTW!

I love watching Juwan Howard interviews
He’s the new Channing in the PR department
Still on the Rex bandwagon.
How about that Channing
18 and 10 today as Phx wins again.
It's great to see him doing well
Except against us. I look forward to watching him try to defend Greg in the post.
Still on the Rex bandwagon.
Makes me wonder if Nate just didn't know how to use him properly.
Seemed like since the season began he’s been a different player.
Well Phoenix gets a whole lot more possessions in a game the Portland
They have more shots to go around
Frye did pretty good whenever Lamarcus was out, so he could get starter's minutes.
But in limited minutes spotting Aldridge he usually floundered. Some guys just need the space to get going.
Hopefully we can shoot better than 42% tonight
I think we will.
"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely
If Lamarcus can't pound the paint against Minnesota
He shouldn’t be be getting paid half of that new contract he just signed.
"Ain't nothin' in this world for free."
Go Trail Blazers!!!

Westbrook is an absolute beast on the offensive boards
Alvin Roberston and Sidney Moncrief are the best comparisons I can think of

The next three
The next three games are games the Blazers should win it would be huge for there confidence if they do.

You guys won't have to stay up too late this week
to watch the PTB. :)
You should have them change the time zone back there, it's not equitable for you.

yeah.
i am getting tix that game and when they come to nj. met up with y5k last year in manhattan b4 the knicks game for drinks. probably try to find people on here in ny to meet up an get drinks before the knick / nets game
I would be glad to...

I lived in Valhalla, then Tarrytown for 3 years
Before I moved back to Portland a couple years ago.
I’m so glad to be back.
Still on the Rex bandwagon.
Ok I was just looking at T-wolves roster
They have three players making over $6 Mil.
One is Al Jefferson. Who are the other two?
According to Storyteller
Mark Blount, Brian Cardinal.
They’re also paying Antonio Daniels, but the waived him a couple weeks ago.
Still on the Rex bandwagon.
Mark Blount and Brian Cardinal make over $6M?!?!?!?
I thought the Lakers were the only ones who paid ridiculous amounts for nothing players…

Advantage for the Wolves is that all their bad contracts now expire, and all others are assets
But slowly things happen that they cannot help and the Blazers Fellowship of the Ring begins to break apart
MAKE IT NINE BLAZERS!
Nine straight over Da’ Wolves that is.
"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely
For one game I'd like to see the team experiement
and not shoot a single jumper. I wonder how that would go over if we only attacked the rim each time throughout the course of an entire game.
Save that for the Knick games
When your tallest player is David Lee, you can pound them.

Who do you guys think will drop more points tonight?
Roy or Aldridge?
Who's going to guard BRoy?
Corey Brewer? Wayne Ellington? Damian Wilkins? I gotta go Brandon.
Man, I remember before we got the #1 pick...
… some people were praying we’d pick up Brewer as a lock down defender on the wing. Can you imagine if we had Brewer instead of Oden?
LMA
If we get out to an early lead Roy won’t be too aggressive.

Jared Bayless
It was nice to him play on Friday…I hope they can get him and Rudy some more time and Martell. Gesh the Blazers are too deep lol I guess that is a problem you want to have
A poor Blazer in the State of New York
I hope Rudy gets on track tonight
He’s looked lost the last few games.
"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely
he needs a big dose of PT
so he can play through his slump and get himself on track. Hard to do getting 11 spotty minutes on a short leash
How did you guys win that?
"We scored enough points. We scored 107, they scored 105.

Blazers are 2-2
when I drink a slurpee the day of a game. I had one earlier today and I can feel they’ll push it over .500
Your confusing thesis has captured my attention. Tell me more.
I haven't had a slurpee in ages.
I always liked the blue raspberry. But I think they called it blue wackadoo.
don't do it you'll jinx em!! :)

Anyone else follow Brian Smith on twitter
Some interesting stuff (IMO):
- Nate McMillan said he feels no pressure to settle on a starting point guard. He sees the Miller-Blake tandem as an advantage.
- McMillan said he does not have to decide on a starting point guard if/when he stops using Miller, Blake in same lineup
- Rudy Fernandez sounded a little uncertain about his role on the team during a pre-game interview.
"What happened to Bayless anyway? Did he turn into a pumpkin? Most teams don’t just let #11 picks rot." - Xiane
good stuff
•
Nate McMillan said he feels no pressure to settle on a starting point guard. He sees the Miller-Blake tandem as an advantage
We’ll see how that “advantage” plays out against ATL and Charlotte, next weekend.
•McMillan said he does not have to decide on a starting point guard if/when he stops using Miller, Blake in same lineup
“I don’t have to decide right now, and I never answer ‘what if’ questions!”
•
Rudy Fernandez sounded a little uncertain about his role on the team during a pre-game interview.
How do you say “ya think?!” in Spanish? So, this is how it starts, a “Nate hates Rudy” article is due from a Spanish-language website in 3,2,1…

Am I the only one that thinks point number 2 makes ZERO logical sense
If/when he stops uses them together, he doesn’t have to decide on a starter? How does that work? It seems to be self-contradicting.
Although I suppose he could stop using them BOTH and go to the zero-PG lineup. In that case, he would be telling the truth
How did you guys win that?

God, I forgot how much I dislike Brian Davis' announcing style.
Davis was okay doing radio announcing with the Seattle Seahawks several years ago, but he sucks at basketball. No matter the sport, though, Davis forced enthusiasm is always painful to the ears.

By the way,
ATDHE doesn’t start the broadcast until tip-off, so it will just have colored bars until they’re actually at center court about to jump.
