Great win but still..
Let me start off by saying last nights win was great to watch. They had a flow to them (for the first 2-3qaurters). They did what I have been saying for the past year or 2; they went inside. They trusted Greg and let him attack the basket which drew double teaming to him freeing up other players.
Now the thing is they attacked the basket and all a sudden are up 17 against the spurs of all teams. I am not to excited over this win because the psurs just couldn't make a shot. They were like 2 and 13 from the 3 point line and were missing open jumpers all of which were uncontested.
We all know blake and andre should not be in the same lineup and now nate said after the game he wants to stay with this lineup for the next couple weeks to test it out. This sends a shiver down my spine. Why do they have blake in there? I mean sure he can shoot he 3 ball but so can webster, rudy, travis and they can also drive to the basket, pass and are much more athletic then blake.
I just don't see why Nate is so in love with blake. I just dont get it. I like Blake alot but he has his place. I mean Blake can do no wrong in Nates eyes it seems. Nate want's up tempo/play maken offense and the obvious choice for this is throwing rudy in there who can pass, make plays, and shoot the 3 ball.

Yeah equally confused
I don’t know why Blake is in there, however the flow was good tonight. The only answer is to wait and see, however I would much rather see RAMBO or RAFBO as well.

Blake played well
15 points six rebounds only one turnover. Lets run this lineup again against lowly minnesota and see what happens.

IM Not Confused
Neither Blake nor Miller is playing that great, but so far Blake, in my opinion has been the better player. Miller is a better overall player, no doubt about it, but so far, his lack of familiarity with the team and its sytem has led to the numbers posted below.
Miller so far:
Min:158
FG: 14-47 beyond shabby. I could hit this fg %
FG%: .298—-man your lucky we know youre better than this otherwise youd be fired!!!
3pt: 1-7 OUCH!!
3pt%: .143% again OUCH!!!
FT: 22-26
FT%: .846 one small bright spot, but free throws are free, you should make them
Stl: 3 - wow, in 158 minutes and 6 games, 3 steals is below average, even Blake has 5-another bright spot but Blake has 9 —both arent turning it over to much
BLK: 0 no biggie
TO: 8
PF: 16
REBS: 18
AST: 29
PTS: 51
Millers average through 6 games:
8.5 pts 4.8 ast 3 rebs
Blakes numbers so far:
MIN: 168 - 10 more minutes than Miller-1 less than Miller
FG: 15-39
FG% .385 – Better than Miller so far, but still under his norm
3PT: 10 – 23
3PT%: .435 Sweet. Way better than Miller, Steve is hitting 3’s like no thang
FT: 7-8
FT% .875 Hes taken way less FT than Miller, but we all know Blake is a good FT shooter
STL: 5 again not huge but better than Miller
BLK: 0 same as Andre
TO: 9 only 1 more than Andre
PF: 15 -
REBS: 13 —miller has 5 more rebs
AST: 19 —miller has 10 more ast
PTS: 47 —miller has scored 4 more points
Blakes averages :
7.8 PTS 3.2AST 2.2rebs
Millers average through 6 games:

Rajon Rondos Averages so far:

Blakes is the starter because the past season, and offseason, or Millers lack ofa offseason, solidifies Blakes position. I think Andre will eventually usurp him but not until he is playing up to par. Right now, Miller cant hit a shot to save his soul. Give Nate a break man, were not the only team off to a slow start because of incorporating new players into the rotation. Look at the Spurs if you want a great example. They are arguably the best team in the last 15 years. They have a great coach and vet superstars who have won rings, and yet they are still losing games they could have won. In my opinion, this lineup worked vs SAS so there is no way to diss it. One of the coolest things about sports is adapting to each scenario each game, dont expect that this will forever be our starting lineup, Nate will be forced to continue to try different combonations in different situations.
In the mean time, lets hope Miller begins to gel quicker because after looking at Paul, Williams and Rondo—-I can see our PGs have a LLLOOOOOOONNNNGGGGGGG way to go! I guess thats why I started with “Neither Blake nor Miller is playing that great!”

starting lineup
obviously there’s a lot of contention between miller and blake as to who should be the starting point guard. but i think one point that really made sense is that blake’s talent with the three-point shot isn’t exactly unique on this blazer team. personally, i’d love to see (until batum returns and our heads all explode from too much talent) a lineup of roy, miller, oden, aldridge and rudy. this gives us one (well, two if you count roy’s sudden romance with the three) legitimate deep threat as well as a true point guard, but with one nice little detail that blake doesn’t provide: something besides the three. rudy shoots trey balls, yadda yadda, but it’s growing painfully obvious that his speed coming around screens is a great tool in getting him into the lane for possible and1 situations (although i still cringe anytime his 115-pound body is mauled by nene or boozer and he flys around like raggedy andy). one issue with this lineup would be playing against a team with a legit small forward that has enough size and skill to give roy fits and fouls (i.e. cleveland, denver, panhandler [er, oklahoma] city). AND NOW I’M GOING TO ASK FOR YOUR OPINIONS LIKE ONE OF THOSE EMPTYHEADED POSTERS ON THE LAKERS FAN PAGES… WHAT DO YALL THINK ABOUT DAT SHIZZNIZZLE?
