Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

NBA TV is replaying Game 7 of the Western Conference Championship game between Portland and the L*kers. Grab a bucket to vomit in and relive one of the most dissappointing moments in modern day Blazer history. And see if Tim Donaghy had any validity about Dick Bavetta and his phantom calls.

Game is at 6:30 on 728 on Comcast. NBA TV is now free on Comcast as well if you didnt know for this season.

This is the game that made me a true Blazer fan

I was a Knick fan and they had gotten knocked out by the Pacers and so my full attention went to the blazers (who had always been my second favorite team up to this point). After the loss hit me so hard I couldn’t wait until next season, and as the knicks got worse (and Spree got traded) in the next couple years, the Blazers were my number 1 team. I still rooted hard for the TWolves with Spree though because the Blazers were awful.

It's somewhat comforting to know that...

Teams blow 15 point leads in the 4th quarter all the time.

I watched the 3rd quarter

That was a good quarter. Then I turned it off and revisioned a Blazers’ championship.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
