Sound levels are way out of balance
At least initially. Can’t here you, Dave, hardly at all but Casey is loud and clear.

I will check into it.
Perhaps it is a fiendish plot on Casey’s part!!!

Casey is checking on it
He’s at the PF so it’ll be a while. Anyone else notice this?

Volume balance is not very good

Let me know
if it’s unlistenable I’ll hide the post until Casey can fix it. My apologies in any case.

no worries..
ya, it is a little worse than normal. but your voice is always at a lower volume than casey on these. i always adjust the vol when im listening at the gym.
cant wait to listen tho.
and hey, Dave.. i met Ben at my first Rose Garden game against the Hawks. would’ve loved meeting you as well. perhaps some day.
keep up the great work!

I'm 1/3 through and think it's fine with the volume up to about 80%
At the beginning maybe your phone line was a bit low in volume.
But slowly things happen that they cannot help and the Blazers Fellowship of the Ring begins to break apart

Will it be available on iTunes at some point?
by MavetheGreat on Nov 5, 2009 1:03 PM PST reply actions 0 recs
I think Casey does that
I see he still doesn’t have the ’cast up, probably because he had to run to the PF. Check when he does get it up.

Great Job Dave & Casey
no volume problems here. if anything its a relief from streaming 95.5- terrible streaming quality, regularly cuts out during segments and goes into 1 of the 4 PSA’s they’ve played for a year+. I digress – keep up the good insights!

"Quip City" is terrible
I think you were right to forget about it. I don’t really have any good suggestions. “Blazer Blogs Podcast” would be fairly accurate.
Great discussion today. For some reason, I find it easier to listen to an analysis of what is wrong than to read about it.

Quip City would be a great name if the Blazers are being really funny that week.
Maybe you can change the name each week according to how the Blazers have played in the previous week:
- Slip City when they’re on a losing streak.
- Grip City when they’re on a winning streak.
- Whip City if they are beating the #$*! out of opponents.
- Nip City when they’re winning or losing close games.
- Trip City when they’re playing on the road.
- Chip City if they’re falling behind early and working their way back into games.
- Lip City when they are talking a lot of smack.
- Flip City if they get into a brawl.
- Hip City if they start dressing like Walt Frazier.
- Drip City if it’s raining.
- Clip City when they play the Clippers.
- Strip City when they play Zach and the Grizzlies.
- Zip City when they play teams with speedy guards.

yes, very nice MA! Counter-proposal: "Blazers Blather"
really . . . no slight on Dave or Casey . . . really (where’s Ian?)
Other options:
- Breathing Fire Pinwheel Podcast
-
— Blazers Ripcast

podcast name suggestion
Casey = Center Court
Dave = Blazersedge
combine these names and you get the “Center-Edge” podcast (as in “Casey and Dave cover Blazer basketball from the center to the edge”)
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
by two4larue on Nov 5, 2009 10:17 PM PST reply actions 0 recs
then, maybe
you can work in a Schonley-ism like “cyclops” or the “old equator” in there, somehow?

Well, "radius" is better than going off on a tangent
which Ben and KP2 have been known to do, during their Wingcasts

Riff City!!!
Can you imagine the podcast starting with the trumpets blarin’ and Casey or Gavin saying, “Here comes your HOME team! This is Riiffff Ciiityyyy!!”
That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it!
