Trade for Jose Calderon

Jose Calderon

Star-divide

How about this trade?

Blake, Bayless and Outlaw for Calderon + something?

I think there is a little chance Toronto would accept it..Don't know if they would want Miller or Fernandez too. But rudy is really important for Portland and would be really good with Calderon. Also Calderon is fast and can hit the open 3 when roy penetates and has the skills to attack the rim.

Could this happen? Or am i just naive?

Would like for it to happen

but Toronto is trying to win this year and trading Calderon would send the wrong message. Nearer to the trade deadline possibly.

All things being equal...

I take Hinrich over Calderon, easily…

by Rudiculous on Nov 5, 2009 2:57 AM PST reply actions

I 'd rather have Brooks!

How about trading Pryzbilla, Blake for Brooks and Hayes. And then offer them Nate for Rick. Yeah BABY!

trading coaches would be sweet!

Nate for Rick, i like it.

Sure!

I mean they already have a superstar point forward. They can afford to part with their point guard. Am I right?

My team went to the playoffs in my first year.

I like Calderon the player

And you think our guards give up dribble penetration now ...

It’s hard to believe but Steve Blake and Andre Miller are lock down compared to Jose

by nikolokolus on Nov 5, 2009 11:08 AM PST reply actions

It should be a great back court.

First, Brandon needs to believe it. Then, Nate needs to start Miller. Then, we need to put up with the growing pains and let the chemistry develop. Those two guys should be checked into a hotel room together, eat all of their meals together, and play on the court together until the chemistry is there.

“Hey Andre?” “Yes Brandon?” “Do you think we could win a championship together someday?” “Yes I do Brandon. But now it’s time to go to sleep, turn off the lamp”. “OK.” (click) “Hey Andre?” “Yes Brandon”. “Goodnight.” “Goodnight lil’ buddy”.

Rumors out of Toronto

are that Calderon may lose his starting job to Jarrett Jack. Just saying.

by Hawthorne Wingo on Nov 5, 2009 4:04 PM PST reply actions

With all this jump-shooting, I miss Jarrett Jack.

I was sorry to see him go. That guy attacked the lane like a tailback and never shied away from contact. For all the flaws in his game, he would be extremely useful at this point. He’s also a great competitor.

by Benjamanic on Nov 6, 2009 7:58 AM PST up reply actions

heck yeah!

I would love to have Jack back. I still occasionally break out my user name “Disgruntled Jarrett Jack fan” to show my support for him. But we do have a guy who also attacks the lane like a talkback in Bayless. We need to start playing him.

More Miller, More Bayless, Less Blake.

Our defense would certainly get worse

Hinrich was (is?) the right fit.

put a body on 'em

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
