Nate wants Miller to be more aggressive
I don't know about everyone else, but I don't really like Nate criticizing his new PG when he hasn't done anything to instill any confidence in Miller yet. So far, all Nate has done is create confusion by swapping Blake and Miller in and out with no apparent strategy. Maybe I'm just being bitter, but this seems to me to be a defensive reaction after losing a game we should have had in the bag and not wanting all the blame to go on him and his substitutions/playcalling. Thoughts?

I thought this was an odd comment as well
Blaming Miller? It’s almost as if the two aren’t the soul mates we once thought. We’re five games in and already this much drama.
My head hurts.
Witty Unpredictable Talent and Natural Game
Nate's does too
is this guy on steroids or what?…his head looks like it’s ready to explode….there’s almost no room left for his ears….Just something I noticed…Looks like it ’s gotta hurt
Nate has taken the Blazers as far as he can
It’s time to let him go. Yeah it’s early in the season, but I’ve seen enough. I say the blazers hire Tom Thibodeau, before someone else does.

I liked this one:
“I want him very involved,” McMillan said. “To the point where I want him pushing and handling the ball probably 90 percent of the time he’s in.”
90%? I’ll believe that when I see it. Time for Nate to actually follow through and do in-game what he talks about on off-days.
How did you guys win that?
"We scored enough points. We scored 107, they scored 105.

I might be just to much of a skeptic,
but somehow I doubt Nate has had the conversation with Roy.
"She turned me into a newt!
A newt?
...I got better."
that should have been too much, not "to much", sorry.
"She turned me into a newt!
A newt?
...I got better."
This is total BS
I’m sick of hearing Nate throw his players under the bus.

Kinda hard to do with Roy
“I want him very involved,” McMillan said. “To the point where I want him pushing and handling the ball probably 90 percent of the time he’s in.”
He’s showing a double standard. He wants Miller to run and have the ball 90% of the time. Fine, if he’s with the second unit he totally should. However, he is also trying to play him alongside Roy, who is not comfortable without the ball in his hands. Maybe instead of calling out Miller in an article about his lack of penetration, he should be calling out Roy for not being able to play alongside him.
And I don’t think the sky is really falling, and I have always been a supporter of Nate. I’m still mad at him for calling out the team after the game Tues for a “lack of effort” (or whatever he said exactly- I am too lazy to look it up). Kind of hard for players to get comfortable and actually play good when you switch up the rotation 6 times in 6 minutes for no good reason and your star (i.e. Roy) doesn’t even know why it’s happening. He’s obviously not getting through to the guys, and he should not be individually calling out players in an article.

I don't think he was calling anyone out
I also think saying he wants Miller to have the ball 90% of the time means that Roy will have to adjust.
I have the same impression about Nate's post game reactions...
Too often he uses the “not working hard enough” excuse after a loss. That would be all fine and good if the Blazers are slothing around all game, which I don’t believe has been the case. I see effort, I don’t see execution, and that can fall on the coaching staff as well as the players. Another thing he religiously turns to in a post game loss, is their “lack of defense”. When you play Travis Outlaw and Lamarcus Aldridge at your 4 and 5 for extended minutes, you are going to suck on defense. That’s on Nate, not on the players. When Our two best interior defenders can’t get into the game, and both are not in foul trouble, that’s not the teams fault, that’s on Nate. So ya, I do feel like he passes the buck at times instead of admitting that he might have made some mistakes…
He's way too selfish....
"Rudy is not everyday a shooter," Fernandez said. "He's defense. He's passes. He's assists."
It sounds more like a vote of confidence to me.
He wants Miller to take a lot of shots and do most of the facilitating. He said 90% of the time he’s on the floor, so that includes handling the ball when Roy’s playing with him. When he’s arguing that Miller should take on a more pivotal role than Outlaw and Rudy, how is that not a complement?

That's how I saw it too
Saying you want a guy to have the ball more is not throwing him under the bus.
wrong question
the question is whether Nate will back up these words with his in-game playcalling (actions). Or will he revert right back to the same old “Andre, give the ball to Brandon and stand in the corner” offense once the going starts getting a little rough.
We’ll see

Agreed.
I also do not read this as Nate throwing anyone under the bus.
My team went to the playoffs in my first year.
