According to the Sacramento Kings' website, they have signed Ime Udoka, who was in Blazers training camp but lost out in the race for the 15th roster spot to Australian rookie point guard Patty Mills.

Thanks to Norsktroll for the heads up. Also thanks to Miker Blazer in the Fanshots.

Good for Ime. I knew he’d land somewhere. The native Portlander in me was hoping it would be here.

Good news

You gotta love Ime. I’ll bet his future is bright—possibly in coaching.

Wow, Sacramento is an odd spot for Ime Udoka.

The Kings are rebuilding, already have a veteran defensive stopper at the 3 in Desmond Mason, et cetera.

As it is, Udoka should still be in Portland at this point in time.

Dear Paul Allen:

Waive Patty Mills & sign Ime Udoka.

Sincerely,
AK1984

he is horrible and they just realized it.

Desmond Mason does have a non-guaranteed contract, so the team could just cut him.

Mason, however, does have a strong relationship with Paul Westphal, so we’ll see about that.

Dear Paul Allen:

Fire Nate McMillan & hire Jeff Van Gundy.

Sincerely,
AK1984

he's gonna get cut

and they’ll look for a banger c/pf (like every team looks for)

As I recall, they recently lost Francisco Garcia to injury. That probably opens some space for Ime

Glad Ime latched on somewhere but I feel bad for him that it had to be with the Kings.

Mason is superfluous now since he is the worst rotation player in the NBA

If you’d read my earlier 5 page treatise on this subject.

Excerpt:

Desmond Mason is pretty much really bad. His 2008 true shooting percentage is located southwards of 98% of all of the NBA from the years 1973 to 2007, including Herbert Sendek’s 1983 season when he missed his first three shots in the home opener and subsequently tore his patellar tendon to end his season (and career, as he only ever played 3 more games of professional ball again for Viva Zapatica in the Spanica Liga Division 3
