I want to see the breakout half, as well. I want to see a faster post move and no strips.
Time and time again I see Rudy gamble on that passing lane for a steal and his man gets loose to the basket and hangs another foul on our big men. I can dig the maverick style of play but it’s hamstringing us right now. Greg is looking fierce and Joel is looking like he’s having a fit about it. Come on Rudy!
My team went to the playoffs in my first year.

it’s not possible is it? we pretty much do nothing to ever generate an easy basket either in transition or the halfcourt.

I didn’t think PHX would win @ Miami.

Now here is a concept and it might be a little difficult...
But Nate, there is a position called CENTER and it is played by big guys who are about 7 feet tall… You have two of them. You might try using one of them AT ALL TIMES and see if MAYBE that MIGHT help out with the layups and the bunnies at the rim.
Or, alternatively, you could lose this game by 15 points.

What if he becomes a nasty defender? What if he learns a couple more moves, becomes clutch, and starts averaging 30 ppg? What if Roy or Oden get hurt and he is one of two (not three) dominant players on a few championship teams?
yes. It’s unlikely. But there are waaay too many variables to say that it’s impossible.

It's a possibility.
A more likely scenario is that he figures out one or two things and becomes a key player on a few championship squads.

Roy needs a 2nd top 10-15 player. Aldridge does not have it in him. Maybe Oden does, but his development needs to speed up.

I'm sorry, but players like Chris Bosh and Pau Gasol were much better than LMA is when they were at his current age
and those guys are allstars, but not future HOFers.
Aldridge, in a perfect world, could maybe get close to Bosh’s level. Which is still a huge, huge, huge ways from HOF territory.

The real question now is how the organization is going to respond to a little rocky start. We’ve all seen good teams come out of the gates slow and then get their act together as hey go along. Hopefully the Blazers have the maturity to rise to the occasion and see this thing through. My real concern is that the frustration will get contagious and the whole team will fracture.
