The Dontonio Wingcast Episode 012
Basketball Prospectus's Kevin Pelton and I are back with another episode of The Dontonio Wingcast, the first since of the 2009-2010 regular season.
On this full-length episode (53 minutes), Kevin and I go pretty much unscripted...
- In Segment 1, we look at the Blazers season to date. Nice nights from Martell Webster and Steve Blake, Rudy's struggles, the late-game rotation questions, a look back at Sunday night's game and whispers about the Blazers from around the league.
- In Segment 2, we look at the loss of Nic Batum, Brandon Roy's defense, Greg Oden's progress, and the Rajon Rondo signing (and its implications for the Aldridge signing), as well as some other league-wide observations.
- In Segment 3, we give our early thoughts about Bill Simmons' The Book of Basketball.
Music selections:
Nas - New World
Nas - Rule

Thanks you guys
Something to listen to while I study.
I've never listened to this before
but it has the sickest title I’ve ever seen, gotta give it a listen
"His head has a great shape"
Nice Ben, I’m sure Morey and Ainge have stats on that.
But slowly things happen that they cannot help and the Blazers Fellowship of the Ring begins to break apart
Africa, Everybody Wants to Rule the World.....
I’m waiting for someone to cover “Cause I’m A Blonde” in their next hit single to fully represent the quintessential music of the 80’s….
I’ve only skimmed Simmons’ book, so I can’t comment fully. I’ll say this, though – I don’t always agree with Simmons but his comparison of Kobe to Michael J. Fox in Teen Wolf is spot on!
Ben – Rondo top 20 player? C’mon……
I enjoyed the podcast as always. Keep them coming!
