Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

quick trade question to bounce around: Would you be willing to put Rudy on the table for Carlon Butler?

Haven't been here for a minute, but just wanted to bounce an idea and don't want to seem like a band wagoner of panic. It is just obvious something needs to be done, either a rotation change or trade. I think Butler would solve a multiple of problems. Someone that is a tough defender for melo, kobe and other wing scorers, a dynamic scorer that does not need handle the ball to be effective and the toughness we have been lacking. I hate to give up Rudy, but it is hard to get him in there with all are ball handlers and his on ball defense is lacking. Whats your opinion? Oh yeah, the idea of Washington dumping Butler isn't that crazy because reports say that him and Agent zero aren't getting along and the wizards are off to a slow start. With both having huge contracts, Butler would be a lot easier to dump then agent zero

Depends on what else we'd have to give up.

The #s wouldn’t work with trading Rudy for Butler straight up, but I certainly wouldn’t be against dangling Rudy if we didn’t have to give up much more to get Butler.

yeah i know we would defitanatly need to put some one else

but i think Rudy would be a good headliner for it. Wizards need some help in their guards and they could use mike miller at 3. Oh yeah and Stevie Blake is a hometown hero in DC

No one in the world can beat me at RBI baseball 3(nes).

Is Carlon Butler

a plastics manufacturing servant?

Caron Butler for Rudy is an interesting question, but Carlon Butler seems to be a waste of discussion space.

It wasn't the first time I'd been kicked in the cherries and called a rat by a woman, but it was the first time I didn't mind.

Not even if you spelled his name right.

I seem to recall some incident, some dirty play he was involved with. Was it with Roy?

by CatMan2 on Nov 29, 2009 10:59 PM PST reply actions

yes

the video replay shows Butler punching Roy in the groin as the two fell to the floor during a last-second shot attempt, a few years back

From all accounts, Brandon has “moved on” from this incident and would have no trouble accepting Caron as a teammate

When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!

Yes!

I think Butler is PERFECT for us, especially given our new lack of depth at the 3. He’s an all-star with playoff experience who will kill himself to play in a good situation instead of the trash heap in DC. I think Bayliss and Rudy for Butler is a good deal for both teams.

Why do people overrate Caron Butler?

Butler is the absolute wrong fit at the 3 on this team, as he’s bad defensively, can’t spread the floor, and is too high usage for guy who’ll be playing alongside a ball dominant wing like Brandon Roy.

Dear Paul Allen:

Fire Nate McMillan & hire Jeff Van Gundy.

i allways thought Caron was a good defender personally....

however i do think he is the wrong fit. We dont need anymore offense so i have three words: Shane Freaking Battier. Thats my dream

Yessir

I wouldn’t mind trading Andre Miller for draft picks…he is the one who just doesn’t seem to fit in with “the system.”

I just want to make it to a single game this season...:( Sucks being 5 hours away from the city you love.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
