frustrated with Aldridge..
I know I'm not the only one. I've been coming to this site for years and have never posted, but I now feel I need some kind of outlet to vent my frustration. On offense he's 80% fadeaway jumpers and running hooks across the lane. His rebounding is inadaquate at best. He gets outworked down low by much smaller lesser foes in the paint on a regular basis. He's very lazy with his boxouts and overall I see him as a SOFT player. Im cringing before even writing this, but I feel more comfortable with Dante Cunningham out there right now than with LA. Also, CAN WE STOP PLAYING THE "I LOVE L.A. SONG" AFTER EVERY BUCKET HE SCORES!! Not only is it annoying but obviously glorifies our most hated rivals...Anyone else out there feelin this??

I think LMA will be fine
He is what he is: a highly skilled finesse oriented 4. GO and Pryz both help him a lot by occupying the rebounding load, but given his game, I pretty much hate any lineup where LMA is the 5 man. I do agree with you on the “I Love LA” song – I can’t stand hearing that in the Rose Garden
The Blazerverse and The Wire: A comparison
Brandon Roy = Stringer Bell (smooth technician dedicated to his craft)
Nate McMillan = Cedric Daniels (well intentioned leader, but he can be too rigid for his own good at times)
Martell Webster = Wee Bey Brice (straight up solider who follows orders; every organization needs these guys to be successful)
Jerryd Bayless = Marlo Stanfield (he's new to the game, but he's watching and waitng; he will take over and there will be casualties)
Rudy Fernandez = Jimmy McNulty (he gets results, but the leadership wishes he was less of a wild man; the ladies love him)
Greg Oden = Michael Lee (he started off a quiet kid, but he's beginning to tap in to his huge potential to change the game)
Andre Miller = Lester Freamon (do not let the laconic demeanor fool you, the veteran knows what's up)
John Canzano = Scott Templeton (scummy muckraker who stays up at night polishing his award)
"If" the rest of the team were doing their jobs, then LMA would be a great fit...
Center cannot be our only rebounding position. And sometimes we actually need someone to man up against an opposing PF. (e.g. Zach Randolph making LMA look invisible the other night). And occassionally we need LMA to be able to take control of the offense, which he could do from the post (if he demanded a double team) but will never do as a jump shooting PF.
Maybe this is more an indictment of the rest of the team than LMA (Brandon Roy needs to stop whining and be friggin’ leader and figure out how to win with this blazer team instead of just wishing GO and AM didn’t exist)…
“if” the team could rebound from any other position and “if” the team had more than one offensive playmaker (or an offense that didn’t require so many) and “if” we had a running PG who could take advantage of LMA on the break and “if” the team figured out how to run the O through GO… LMA would be a great fit.
but right we don’t and so it’s painful that LMA is soft. He doesn’t attack the boards, the post or the opposing PF.
What the hell are u talking about
When has Roy ever wished GO didn’t exist.
He is what he is, it's our fault for expecting him to improve
I guess
But I’ve stopped trying. LMA is an amazing jump shooter. Anything else, meh.
